Starting Quest

Pete looked around. The door had disappeared and they were all standing in a field of grass that seemed to stretch forever. As he was looking suddenly a bright beam of light appeared in front of them, he had to shield his eyes with his hand. Between his fingers he saw a figure descending as if by magic down the pillar of light. When the figure reached the ground the light faded and he was finally able to look at her.

"Greetings adventures! I am the Goddess Dimenta, here to..." She began.

Pete cut her off, "Didi. You are Didi." Even through she was literally glowing, it was clearly her.

Didi coughed, "No. You must have mistaken me for some beautiful shop keeper from your world. But in fact I am a Goddess. The Goddess of Wisdom, Insight, and Beauty. Thank you for coming. The evil, ugly, and stupid demoness Vilithra had kidnapped a poor maiden and plans to do unspeakable things to her..."

This time Leanne cut her off, "Like what?"

Didi gasped, "It is unspeakable...I can't say."

Tiffany got in on the joke, "Can't say or don't know?"

Didi put her hands on herr hips, "I am an all knowing Goddess. Of course I know. Now then where was I...right Goddess...Vivi, I mean Vilithra...right. You must save your companion from certain doom. To help I am going to give you a gift..."

It was Kelly's turn to mess with her, "Ha! Fat chance. Where's Vivi? She's the competent one."

Pete gulped, it was fun to tease her but she did have real power here. Pete didn't know her well but it was clear she had a rivalry with Vivi, Kelly was treading in dangerous waters.

"How dare you questtion a Goddess!" Didi roared. She pointed a finger at her, "You'll go first!" There was a loud bang and a streak of light shot out from Didi's finger and struck Kelly in the chest.

Kelly shrieked, "Ow! You bitch!"

Didi just smiled and turned to Pete, "Now then. I set her change to be slow and agonizing, but if the rest of you let me finish it will be a lot nicer. Any more interruptions?" Nobody else said anything, "Good. Now then you have been brought to this world and I will give you the skills and equipment you need to survive here and best the demoness. You may think this is all fake but I assure you it is not. If you are injured here, it will hurt. If you die here you will remain dead. Be careful. Oh and don't worry about your old lives, while you are here no time will pass in your world. If you rescue your companion you will return to the same moment you left. Now then, let's get you sorted." She pointed at each of them in turn and light shot out and struck them. Unlike with Kelly, when it hit Pete he only felt a slight tingle. Then he looked over at Kelly as she shrieked again.
