A whole new world

"Annie! You home?" Pete shouted as they entered the front door. There was no response. He turned to Kelly, "Ok. Where are these items?"

She pointed, "Upstairs. In my room."

Pete nodded, "It's not a trap...is it?"

Kelly frowned and crossed her arms over her chest, "No. It is safe to go inside."

Tiffany stepped forward, "I'll go first Master. Just in case."

Leanne snorted, "Kelly should go first. It's her room."

"Whatever." Kelly said pushing past everyone. She led them upstairs and opened her door. "Holy fuck!" She screamed as soon as she saw her room, or lack thereof.

Pete rubbed his eyes, his brain unable to comprehend what exactly he was looking at. Cautiously he stuck his head past the threshold. Instantly he could smell the grass, feel the warmth of the sun, the breeze. Kelly's room was gone. On the other side of the door was an entire new world. A huge grass plain stretched out with a mountain rising high in the distance. Looking up he saw not one, but two sun's.

He pulled his head back into the hall and looked at Kelly, "Ok. What the fuck is that?"

Kelly shook her head, "It must have been Annie...oh no. There was a book. It was cursed. If you read it, it spawns a fantasy world and traps you inside."

Pete felt his anger rising. Kelly has endangered them all for so long by hoarding her knowledge. He growled, "So Annie's trapped? This is your fault. How do we save her?"

Kelly sighed, "Anyone who follows her in becomes an adventurer and is given a quest to free her. We'd be trapped too until we save her."

"Ok. Let's go." Pete said firmly.

Kelly held up her hands, "No way. It's dangerous. Count me out."

She stepped back but Tiffany blocked her path. Pete smiled, he never expected her to become such a good **** so quickly. Really without any effort on his part too. He stepped beside her, "You promised to get us the items. We're going," He looked over at Leanne, "What about you?"

She shrugged. "Ya. Sure. Why not?"

"Argh. Fine. Let's go." Kelly groaned. When nobody else moved first she sighed and stepped though. Pete followed and turned to watched Leanne and Tiffany enter too. Once the four of them had passed through, the door disappeared.
