A (probably) non-canonical side story: The Harem Society's Emergency Meeting

Meanwhile, in a secret location... The Harem Society's top members had been having emergency meetings for the entire week. They had been planning and plotting for years to reveal themselves to Sam, their singular beloved, and finally have him take his place as their crown jewel. But it seemed like their plans were unraveling, all thanks to Nebula's outburst.

Chris, head of the Protection Division, had been banned from contacting Sam for the entire week he and Nebula were removed from school. She was already terrified of the upcoming briefing, but the lack of contact with Sam was a much deeper agony than she realized. Chris was allowed a lot more contact with The Beloved One than normal members due to her role, and the thought of this becoming the new normal for Chris was too much to bear. She knew she had to get back into the other division head's good graces, lest they remove her. Chris donned her Society Mask and headed into the meeting chamber.

Chris walked in, offering a quick prayer to the portrait of Sam on the wall of the chamber, before taking a seat next to a masked Zoe, the head of the Distraction Division. Zoe was a master of psychology, managing to predict a lot of Sam's actions to keep him from discovering anything about the Society, but she seemed unaware of her ability. Zoe always came to these meetings sweating buckets and begging to not get fired, only to be commended for her actions. Chris usually found it cute, but now all Chris wanted to do was follow Zoe's example and sob for another chance. Karishma, a lower member of the Propaganda Division, sat unmasked in the guest position of the table today, and she was obviously excited.

Chris was the last of the Division heads to arrive. The highest ranking member available at the moment, the head of the Nurturing Division, had taken charge.

"Ladies, we have a lot of ground to cover... Chris, do you have anything to say?"

"I apologize," Chris said, standing and bowing deeply. "My failure to protect Our Beloved from the outsider lead to the Society's secrets from being leaked. What's more, we are still no closer to plugging the leak, the website Nebula was talking about seems to be completely inaccessible." Chris's voice quivered, as she was afraid she would start crying any moment.

"Sit down, Chris," the head of the Nurturing Division said, sighing. "What's done is done. We must move forward and salvage what we can from this situation." Chris quietly took her seat. "Karishma, your video went viral before it was taken down. It seems the world now knows of Our Beloved..."

Karishma gulped, but her face remained a tense neutral expression. "Yes, ma'am."

"From your video, we have managed to recruit 20 new members to the fold. I believe congratulations are in order."

Karishma tried to remain neutral, but her grin was threatening to burst. Chris couldn't help but grimace at Karishma. Chris wouldn't admit it, but she envied Karishma's low rank. The lower ranks of the Society were always showered with praise, while Chris never seemed to meet expectations. "Th-thank you, ma'am," Karishma replied.

"Zoe..." Chris had never seen Zoe look so afraid. "Did you manage to get in contact with Nebula?"

Zoe squeaked. "Yes, ma'am..." She grabbed a few sheets of paper from her notebook and started to read. "Nebula was extremely obtuse whenever I tried to talk to her about where she found the website, but I believe that we can move her attention away from it for long enough, she will move on."

"Should we try to induct her into the Society?"

"No, ma'am. I believe her... outburst... shows a need for attention that would put the Society in danger. She seems to only see Sam as a toy for her amusement, not as Our Beloved..." Zoe's voice quivered when she spoke of Sam as "beloved", and Chris knew Zoe felt the same as she did.

"Should we kill her?" The Nurturing Head said serenely, as if she was talking about anything but ****.

"W-what? We can't do- We... we have a plan to have her willing drop out of school come Monday. The suspension would leave her without any allies, and we can use the Protection Division to drive her away from school."

Chris blinked. Was Zoe planning all this behind her back? Why wasn't she told about this?

"We need Nebula out of the way before our plans can move forward. I believe Chris will be the perfect candidate to do so." Zoe said, turning to wink at Chris.

"Very well, Chris... and Karishma. You two are in charge of humiliating Nebula into leaving voluntarily. Make it your top priority." Karishma seemed enthusiastic to get to work, but Chris was still processing everything Zoe just said. "We also need to determine if Nebula had told anyone about us before. If this information falls into the wrong hands, our plan will fall apart." The Nurturing Head stood, and the meeting was adjourned. The lower members started to file out, leaving just Chris and Karishma alone together.

"...Well, partner... Shall we get to work?" Karishma said, offering her hand. Chris pushed it away.

"...Don't get in my way, rookie." Chris growled.
