Maple stares at the workshop, "I don't have any back doors, there's a sort of loading bay door, for getting big things in and out, but it's pretty heavy duty and locked," she says and then hesitates, "although..." she heads around the back of the workshop, the side of the building does indeed have a fairly large shutter style door.

"Sorry..." she says patting the door and then steps back and fires the plasma rifle at the top of the door, the plasma easily eats through where the door connects and the entire door collapses. As the door goes down the predator lunges at Maple, Maple tries to fire, but the predator manages to knock her gun aside and her shot misses, she manages to dodge back from it's follow up grab attempt and darts around it, getting into the workshop, but the predator follows her back in dodging another shot from her.

"I can't let it get too close, if it manages to grab me I'm done for, but it's too fast for me to easily keep it at range and I can't use the grenades in here," Maple says trying to put one of the machines between it and her as it is trying to figure out how to get at her while also keeping her from getting a clear shot on it.

Maple watches it, feigning movements around the machine to make sure it has to keep itself out of her line of fire and doesn't have time to try and attack her. Her eyes gaze at the machine in front of her though and a plan seems to occur. She hits a button on the machine starting it up and the predator freezes seemingly expecting some kind of attack, but Maple instead focuses her attention on operating the machine. The predator is hesitant, confused by Maple's behaviour as she starts working with the machine, creating something, seemingly ignoring the predator.

The predator seems to have decided that either Maple's seeming lack of concern is either enough of an opening or that allowing her to finish making what she's making is too much of a risk and it darts around the machine lashing tendrils towards her. She raises her gun just as the tendrils wrap around her arms and she manages to blast the predator in the chest killing it.

She hesitates for a moment, worried it might manage something before fully deactivating, but luckily nothing happens and Maple lets out a relieved sigh.

"I figured I might as well just finish what I came for, until it chose to attack there was no way that stalemate was ending anyway, not with my victory at least," Maple says as she gets back to work and finishes creating the conversion upgrade. She then quickly hurries back to the terminal.

She arrives back at the terminal as Lri is using a healing kit on Yulia to revert the disease one stage and put a hold on it's progression. "Hand me another one!" Maple says excitedly as she puts the upgrade into her suit and Lri hands over a healing kit. Maple holds it and the healing kit is covered in a silver mass and then when the silver mass disappears the healing kit has been transformed into a cure all. Giving it to Yulia seems to immediately start to revert the effects.

"We did it," Maple says sitting down, sounding exhausted as Lri remains watching Yulia who slowly goes back to breathing normally.
