Home Alone
A Walk In The Evening
An hour later, Mia leaves to hang out with Paige, promising to check in so that we know she’s safe. Ivy and I decide to take a nap together. We lay down in the bed that the three of us share, cuddling up to each other. The feeling of the gorgeous woman beside me is never going to get old.
I wake up after an hour or so of rest. I stretch and look over at Ivy, who is already awake and staring lovingly at me. “You’re adorable, you know that?” She asks, love radiating through our mental connection. “How long were you watching me sleep?” I ask, turning slightly red. “I don’t know. I lost track of time. I woke up a while ago but I did not want to disturb you, and you looked so peaceful.”
I blush as she speaks, and she smiles even wider. She kisses me gently and I kiss her back, pulling her closer towards me. “I love you Ivy.” “I love you Gemma.” I massage my hands up and down her perfect curves. “What do you feel like doing now?” I ask her. “It is tempting to ask if we can have sex again, but I also want to just hold you. Oh Gemma, just being with you is amazing!” I chuckle happily, kissing her on the forehead.
“How about I show you around the mundane world a bit?” I ask her. “You haven’t seen much outside of Mia’s house and the training dungeons we’ve been in. Would you like to go for a walk?” “Yes, I’d love to!” She immediately responds and I giggle again. “I love how enthusiastic you are about everything. It’s the most adorable thing.”
We put on some clothes to head out for a walk in. In Ivy’s case, we aren’t sure what to do for a few moments, because her usual outfit is a little too skimpy to walk around in, and neither Mia or I have clothes that fit her. Ivy suggests that she can eat a set of clothes and reform them on her exterior, so I end up having to give her a spare set of my clothes. It’s adorable to see her for the first time wearing a band shirt and a pair of track pants.
We exit the barrier and start walking. I don’t have any particular destination in mind, I just want to show Ivy a bit of the world. Her wonder at every landmark that we pass is incredibly endearing. Her eyes light up at the sight of anything and everything she’s never seen before, no matter how mundane it is to me.
She looks in awe at the different types of trees dotting the path, at the houses lining the streets, the birds chirping, the way the sunshine glows and lights up the world. Her raw enthusiasm for life and everything it has to offer is lighting up my world, and her wonder at even the most unremarkable of things is giving me a new perspective and appreciation for the beauty of life and nature.
“OH MY GAIA WHAT IS THAT!” Ivy squeals, running forward a couple of steps and scooping up a cat wandering around the path. “Mreow?” The cat lets out, seemingly confused. Ivy holds it close to her chest and cradles it in her arms. I giggle at her reaction to the adorable creature. “That my love, is called a cat. They aren’t always the friendliest of creatures, but this one seems to like you.”
The gentle purring sound that the cat emits confirms my words. “It’s purring, that usually means that they’re happy. Want me to show you how to pet it?” I ask her. “Yes, please!” I bridge the distance between us, and take her hand, laying it gently on the cat. “Now you stroke it like this, in the direction that its fur goes.” I instruct, moving her hand in a gentle petting motion.
She picks it up immediately, and keeps stroking it as it purs happily. “Can we keep it?” She asks, looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. “Don’t do that! You’re too adorable, ugh. I wish we could keep it, but it looks like this one has an owner.” I say, noticing the collar around its neck.
Ivy sighs, disappointed. She puts it down, and the cat looks back at her, meowing once before scampering away. “I want one! It’s so cute!” She pouts. I giggle and pull her in for a cuddle. “We’ll get one someday. It won’t be for a while, but we will.” I tell her. “Promise?” I kiss her on the forehead. “I promise.” She smiles at me, then she takes my hand and we continue on our walk.
“Right, I forgot! You’ve never really heard music!” I say. “What exactly is music?” Ivy asks in return. I consider the question for a few seconds before answering. “Music is difficult to describe. The easiest way to put it is that it’s a collection of sounds that are nice to hear. Music comes in all different forms, something as simple as the sound of footsteps could even be music.”
“Really? How?” “One of the basic things about music is that it often has a rhythm or a beat. Not always, there’s a lot of music that doesn’t have a rhythm, or at least not a clear one. But a rhythm is something like this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4.” I demonstrate by clapping my hands together softly, counting the beats. “Any short sharp sound can make a rhythm, including footsteps.”
“Why is it that you have a strong attachment to some forms of music, but you thoroughly dislike others?” Ivy asks suddenly, after thinking for a few seconds. “Did you look inside my head?” Ivy stops walking and turns to face me, taking my hands in hers. “I didn’t have to. You radiate such strong emotions about this subject that they’re clear as day to me.”
“You’re getting pretty eloquent, I like the way you speak. You sound nice.” She smiles gently at me. “Thank you Gemma. And you’re deflecting.” I look down, becoming aware of the cocktail of mixed emotions brewing in me. “Music helped me deal with a lot of things in the past. It’s very useful as a coping mechanism.” I say clinically.
Ivy gently lifts my head up with a finger to look her in the eyes. “Whatever happened before, I’m here to listen if you want to. Mia and I are both here now. We love you and we aren’t going anywhere. Whatever you need.” She comforts me lovingly. I nod, wiping away the wetness in my eyes. “Not now, okay? Later…”
She embraces me tightly and floods our mental connection with all her warmth and love, until it feels all encompassing, both physically and mentally. “Thank you Ivy.” I tell her as we separate and the depth of her feelings for me retreat.
We finish the rest of our walk in relative silence, with Ivy taking in the beautiful sights of the mundane world that we pass. We hold hands the entire way, and the simple intimate contact makes my heart swell with joy. I doubt I could ever get tired of the loving intimacy that I experience with Ivy and Mia.
Eventually, we make our way back home, as it’s starting to get dark. Being early July, it’s the middle of winter for Australia, something that often confuses a lot of the rest of the world, as the seasons are swapped around. It also means that we get summer during christmas, a fact which I have disliked my entire life. With it being a Sydney winter, the sun sets at around 5 and it starts to get properly dark about half an hour after that. We manage to make it home around 5:30, getting inside thanks to Mia having added my handprint to the scanner outside.
When I check my phone, I see a text from Mia letting us know that hanging out with Paige went well, and that she’ll be home soon. While we wait for Mia to get home, Ivy and I make out lazily on the couch. Ten minutes later, the door opens and Mia walks in.
“Hey Mia, how’d it go?” I ask. Mia walks into the living room with a smile on her face. “She’s literally so adorable! Ugh, I wanna squish her face.” She plops down on the couch next to Ivy and curls up into her. I chuckle and Ivy puts her arm around Mia, massaging her gently.
“I gather you like her then?” “Duh! She’s so shy, but once she got a little more comfortable with me and talked about some of the things she liked, I could see the little light in her eyes. I told her I wanted to introduce her more to you both, and she asked if it was okay if we could wait a bit. She wants to spend more time with me first. I told her that was all good and yeah! It was great.”
Mia suddenly looks towards the kitchen. “I’m starving, wanna cook some food Ivy?” “Yes, I’d love to.” “We made pasta last night, so I was thinking we do spaghetti and meatballs tonight, if you follow.” She explains as she stands up and starts to walk to the kitchen.
The rest of the evening is fairly standard. Or at least, fairly standard in comparison to the last week and a bit. I eat a skillfully cooked dinner of spaghetti and meatballs, together with my two amazing girlfriends. We can’t contain our lust for very long, and scamper up to the bedroom.
Even after intensely passionate sex, none of us are tired yet. We take a shower, and Mia remarks that if we end up dating anybody else, we might have to think about upgrading some of the facilities of her room. She does have a super king size bed and a large shower space, both of which can fit the three of us, with the shower only being a tad cramped. Four people would be a stretch though.
We towel off and decide to lay in bed watching tv for a while. We haven’t actually used the tv in Mia’s room before, and when I bring that up, she replies that she prefers watching the living room tv, since it’s bigger. We snuggle up together, with Mia and I deciding that we want to introduce Ivy to the MCU, and putting on the first Iron Man movie as a result.
I’m delighted by the fact that I get to be the middle spoon again. The air conditioning in Mia’s room is set to a temperature that means excess body heat isn’t a problem. I make a mental note to ask her about how this place has electricity to run the air conditioner, given that it’s in a barrier. Soon I drift off, happily snuggled between the two most amazing women in the world.
