What's next?
Texting Heather
Despite deciding on addressing the elephant in the room, or at least the one not between Layla's shapely thighs, Ethan is unsure how to exactly bring it up.
Should he be mad? Is this an accusation? Should he be calm and casual? Wracking his brain, Ethan can't figure out how to even begin to bring up the topic.
He's so deep in thought that he doesn't realize the pause he's taken, so when Layla speaks, he jolts to attention.
"This is about Heather, right?"
"Uh," Ethan blinks, recovering. "Yeah..."
"Hm," Layla lets out a huffy sigh, her plush lips pursing. "I knew this conversation was going to happen eventually. Frankly, I'm surprised it didn't happen days ago."
Shrugging slightly, Ethan agrees it should have but... "I've been busy..."
Nodding, Layla's lips flatten into a small smile. "So you have. But I sort of assumed that you not bring it up meant you didn't care I was texting her. Was I wrong to think that?"
Ethan stews on that for a minute.
