Swim high above the city.

It's a treacherous climb up through the water, between falling rubble and rough cracks through the stone. But finally, you see the distant void of the deep sea through a crack ahead, and before you know it, you're back outside. A glowing figure hovers above--Queen Iri, or Irirangi the Aquatic Scourge. You pursue, bringing you and your party far above the lights of the city beneath. "Snow, fire!" you command as you start closing in.

Without a word, Snow pulls back and fires a shot straight up. The arrow soars through the water is if it were air, and with her skillful precision, it easily makes its way to her target. However, Irirangi causes the water around her to shift, and with a scream, she sends out a shockwave that tumbles the arrow away.

"Seno'nojoch, lend me your strength!" she shouts as the light around her grows brighter. "Chain Lightning!"

"Move--!" you call out as best you can. It's too late. If this spell happens, much of your group will be hit. You're in a terrible position. Not only is it hard to dodge, but this attack is going to come fast, and arc between each of you. There's nothing to hide behind, and there's nobody close enough to intervene. With your teeth clenched, you pull up your legs, and faster than you ever have before, you Bunny Hop.

Her eyes widen as you appear only a few feet ahead of her. The spell goes off. An explosion of crackling energy bursts from her fingertips, but instead of trailing out to fry your party, it strikes your torso instead. The hot pain is intense, and your body freezes. The sword drifts from your hand, and for a moment, you worry you'll pass out.

But everyone else is safe.

Snow's next arrow lands true. It sticks into her shoulder, causing her to curse aloud, but it also distracts her enough for both King Agam and Kailani to appear on opposite sides of the sea witch. After pulling the arrow out, she throws her hands to the side. The intense **** of the water pushes you back, and the other two away, though the gap isn't far. You just need to recover. Pushing through it, you snatch the handle of your sword once again and focus your attention on the opponent before you.

"... You're resilient," she says.

"Well, I've fought demons and extraplanar dragons. And don't even get me started on the Erotrain."

"That's right," Candy says, appearing behind her out of seemingly nowhere. "That's Kyle Warren, Demon King of Tivera, and ally to the Circle of the Unicorn."

Snow nods. She shouts from below. "Y-Yes! Kyle has fought people much more powerful than you."

"He defeated the Witch of Decay as well," Kailani adds.

Meanwhile, the king looks perplexed. "Did you say Demon King?" he asks quietly.

You furl your brow as faint bands of pink trail out from your allies into the blade in your hand. It starts to shine bright with a deep, magical power. You can feel your hair stand on-end as it flows into you. "You made a pact with Seno-nojoch. So what did you have to sacrifice? What were the terms of your pact?"

"Sacrifice?" She scoffs. "I am His conduit, and I live only to spread destruction in my wake. This city's downfall was going to be my magnus opus. But never mind. When I kill you all here and now, I'll simply try it again elsewhere. So just die already!" Suddenly, the tendrils of light fire out from behind her back.

One tries to grab you, but with a swing of your sword, its cut like a stick of butter. The same happens to her next attempt. Though the third manages to grab your ankle. As this happens, Kailani darts in and stabs her trident down through the magical appendage, causing it to burst, which frees you quickly.

An arrow flies by. This time, Irirangi dodges, and she peers past you with a furious glare. "That grows annoying." Suddenly, the woman darts past the group and makes a b-line for your archer below.
