Chapter 55 by dirtykentman

What is her decision about Friday then?

She decides to risk him picking her up from school

Felicity perches herself on the low wall on the corner of her road, knowing she can’t wait until she is actually home to reply to him again.

“I’d love you to pick me up straight after school. I can tell my parents I’ll out with my friends for the evening” she replies, cringing a little every time school is mentioned, making her wish she’d not stayed on for sixth form but had gone to college instead, at least college makes her sound a little older she tells herself!

Message send she starts walking the short distance left to home, but even before she gets there he has replied. “3.15 outside then?” he asks. She briefly wonders how he knows, then decides she must have told him what school she was at during some of their conversations over the weekend, feeling quite pleased that he clearly listened to her.

“Fantastic. Should I bring anything with me?” Felicity quickly responds, knowing she is fishing for some hints on what he might have planned, or even just confirmation he meant it when he said she could stay at his for the weekend.

“Just the usual. Toothbrush and stuff” he tells her, leaving her in no doubt she is staying overnight, and she’s sure that the excited squeal she makes as she reads it could be heard all the way down the street.

“Can’t wait” She lets him know as she is walking up the path to her front door, knowing now that waiting until Friday is going to be ****.

“How did training go?” her mum asks her as she gets inside. Her phone pings almost at the same time, but Felicity knows she will have to wait to see what else he might have said now.

“Yeah it was good, match next week” she tells her mum. “I got some homework to do, so I’m going to head upstairs” she adds, **** to be able to check her phone again. But when she is alone again she is disappointed as she sees the latest message is just another friend and not him.

The rest of the evening flies by as she reads and re-reads their exchanges, inbetween planning what she needs to take on Friday, knowing she wants to be prepared for anything.

Is it Friday yet?
