She decides she wants to keep her naughtiness secret for now

“Ready” she declares as she stuffs her netball kit into her bag and jumps to her feet.

“About bloody time” Chloe laughs as she closes her phone case. “Let’s go then, before we get locked in for the night!” Felicity follows her out of the changing rooms and through the main doors, the warm evening air feeling so lovely as they step outside.

For the whole walk home Felicity tries to concentrate on what her friend is talking about, but her mind keeps returning to his last message. She desperately wants to tell him to pick her up from school, but is worried both about what her friends might say, as well as a nagging worry that even though she is 18 and in sixth form, the sheer fact it’s school might make her look younger and give him second thoughts.

“You’re very quiet” Chloe nudges her friend as they walk, “you’re not still mopping about that idiot ex of yours are you? God, forget him Flis, he was a loser, you can do so much better.”

“Oh God, no, he is definitely old news” Felicity is quick to point out, and she is confident it’s true. It’s been three weeks now since they split up after an argument, although she can’t even remember what it was about!

“Good, you can do so much better Flis, and I told you, you should have grabbed yourself an older man from last weekend, just imagine it, rich and I bet would know what to do with their hands and mouth, and I bet dicks.” Chloe laughs at her own comment and Felicity finds herself smiling, almost ready to tell her friend how true that is, but stops herself, still wanting it to be her secret.

“Right, catch you in the morning” Felicity tells her friend as they reach the end of her road and where they go different ways.

“Sure thing” Chloe calls back as she carries on walking, leaving Felicity alone at last. As soon as her friend is out of sight, she pulls her phone back out, ready to reply, knowing now just what she wants to tell him about Friday.
