Sanakia looked at me for a few seconds, blinked and then proceeded to kneel in front of me. “D-Don’t mind me my Lord, just finish your business.”

A few minutes later, when I was in a much more decent position, Sanakia would explain why she disturbed me.

“I have come to you to end my miserable, worthless life, my Lord! Please do not hesitate for I do not deserve your mercy!”

I took a moment to compose myself. “So, I take it you couldn’t locate Nikkou?”

The immense distraught on her face made me immediately regret my words. “H-Hey it’s fine! You did your best and I appreciate the effort!”

“But my Lord!”, the Sexy-Knight continued “I may not have been able to complete my quest. But I did not come before you empty handed!”

She then rummaged through her non existent pockets and presented me with two shiny weapons.

“Behold!”

“These are...new dirks?”

“Yes!”, Sanakia explained cheerfully. “I believe they will serve you most splendidly in your bout tomorrow!”

I could tell that much from a simple glance. These were crafted from extremely high quality material. Hold on...that particular shimmer. “Is this...Hirara ore?”

Sanakia smiled proudly. “Indeed, the most expensive ones they had. Pretty much unbreakable! “

Never in all my life did I ever expect to hold a weapon crafted from Hirara ore in my hands. This is something usually only available for the highest ranking adventurers. With the exception of holy weapons, these are the most powerful blades on the continent.

I did some test slashes. And sure enough the quality and general feel of them was excellent. I feel a bit bad to retire the dirks Maria provided me with after just one match but the superiority of these weapons were without question.

“I know these are a poor substitute for the holy blade Nikkou. Please plunge them into my useless heart so that you may make up the difference.”

“N-No!”, I quickly denied. “To be honest with you. I don’t think I could have wielded a blade like Nikkou in the first place. These suit me much more. They are marvelous, Sanakia.”

The Galmon positively beamed at that. “To hear you say that. There is truly no greater honor. My Lord!”

Well, it is certainly a good thing that Sanakia was happy but...I had questions, many in fact. To start out with…“So...uh where did you find them?”

“Yes!”, Sanakia nodded eagerly. “And to think the merchant sold them for a measly 5000 Gold coins each!”

I almost fainted.

H-How long would you have to work for that amount of money? About twenty-five years? Per dirk? Yes, it is certainly Hirara Ore but these are ultimately still small Dirks. For 10.000 Gold. That was enough money to forge a Greatsword!

This time I didn’t just faint. I died and entered hell before the immense shock brought me back to reality. This is what a near dead experience must feel like.

“My Lord! Your lack of words says more then any praise could ever do!”, Sanakia swooned. “From now on I shall take care of all your expenditures!”

Attempted **** of my finances aside, this was all extremely high quality equipment. The trousers alone nearly doubled my health. Simply wearing it made me feel notably more powerful. The fact that I ignored something as simple as buying better gear, I was honestly a bit ashamed with myself.

Still...I myself probably could have shopped a bit...a lot more economically.

“T-Thanks, Sanakia”, I shakily smiled at her. “These will all be tremendously valuable for the match to come.”

I nodded, trying to swallow the ultimate buyers remorse. “Just..uh...one more question, Sanakia?”

“Why exactly are you naked?”

Well, if I reveal the truth to her now the poor girl will have a mental breakdown. I make sure to have a stern talk with Hebi-san later.

“I’m afraid this is about the extent of time I can spare, Sanakia. Please...uh...carry on with what you are doing.”
