A new dress

Again, his suggestion at first strikes her as quite reserved, nothing like the man who has already in just one day made her do things she would never have believed herself capable of. But as he holds her hand and escorts her through the busy Sunday afternoon shoppers, she reminds herself just that, that he has surprised her every time so far so why would dress buying be any different!

She continues to glance around, now not so worried about bumping into someone she might know, although she still reminds herself she probably doesn’t want to explain what she’s doing with this older man right now!

“Ah this place always looks interesting” he informs her, and Felicity realises they are fast approaching a shop that she knows sells some rather daring outfits. She’s only been inside a couple of times when friends were looking for something a little different for a party and well, what they saw certainly was different. “Yes, surely this is the place for any adventurous teen?” he asks her even as he is pushing the door open and leading her inside.

Felicity follows obediently, quite excited at the prospect of getting a new dress that she would never normally consider, although she wonders if it will be something she’ll ever be able to let her parents see her in!

“Ok, what takes your fancy young lady?” She can tell he is enjoying himself now as he watches her look around dazzled by all the options. The front of the shop is full of stuff she knows she sees regularly on a Saturday night, but as he encourages her deeper into the shop, so the dresses seem to get more and more daring.

She browses from aisle to aisle, happy to know she doesn’t have to look at the price tag first. She tells herself to be daring, to go for something that none of her friends would believe if they were to see her in it, and as she has that thought she spots something that fits just that bill.

“How’s this?” she asks holding up a see through mesh dress. “Too much? Or perhaps I mean too little?” she adds as she holds it against herself, letting him look at the dress and her.

“Very nice” he agrees, “of course the question is, what would you wear under it? The same as you have under that dress you’re wearing right now?” he suggests, reminding her just how little she has on under it. “Why don’t you go and try it on?”
