Even as they wait for the lift to arrive, Felicity fidgets slightly from foot to foot, extremely aware of how she is naked beneath her dress, and that it wouldn’t be beyond possibilities that someone could easily notice, especially if they happened to be using the escalators between floors of the shopping centre! As the lift doors open, she’s relieved to see that there’s no one else inside and she steps nervously in alongside him.
They descend from the car park to the ground floor and as the doors slide open, she looks, suddenly even more nervous at just how busy it is. As if sensing her nerves, his hand takes hold of hers as he leads her from the lift into the noisy busy Sunday afternoon shopping crowd. Her eyes scan around, knowing how often she’s here on a weekend with friends, so is more than aware that she may well bump into friends.
They walk slowly, her hand firmly held in his, allowing Felicity plenty of time to just look around. She would normally be looking in all the shop display windows, but right now, she is still sure she’s going to bump into someone she knows that instead her eyes are scanning the walkways around them. She spots a few faces she recognises from school, but is relieved that they don’t seem to be looking in her direction as she tries to hide herself from their view behind his body.
“So Flis” he interrupts her thoughts with his first words since they exited the lift “where should we go first, it’s been a while since I took a teen girl shopping so I might be a little out of practice.” She can only giggle at his confession, reminding her again of their age difference.
“I don’t mind, I don’t want to assume” she tells him, hoping it will sound genuine, although inside she is already running through all the possible options available. “It sort of depends what you’re thinking of buying me” she adds, hoping it might give her an indication of what to expect from him.
“In that case let’s start with…”
