You go on a date with Rae

You meet through mutual friends of the otv and friends group. You're a budding photographer looking to get some experience and one of your high school friends got a job working for offline tv as a thumbnail artist. You get invited to a party for OTV and friends. You bump into many different streamers and talk about gaming, content creation and hobbies. When you meet rae, you guys have a long conversation that flows for hours and you both lose track of time. Her friends come and chat with you and you talk with other people. It gets late and you ask rae if she wants to go because she said she normally leaves early. Fuslie comes to pull her aside and talks to her privately. Fuslie then comes up to you and says bye and Rae stays behind. You chat more until you are both tired. She asks for your contact and you share your number with her and grab an uber home.

Weeks pass, randomly one afternoon you're off work early for OTV (they are a laid back org at times), you get a text from rae. Playing Fortnite atm, wanna join? As you're free you boot up fortnite and play. In discord chat and online you're having a blast, she's hard carrying though, you haven't played fortnite in a while. You're ratting most of the games, shes flaming you to get some hours on aimbot. Humbled but fired up, you ask her to boot up mario kart and she says she got to stream in 30 mins so you guys just banter. She lets you know when shes next free and although you got a shoot early the next day, you try to make time as its your turn to shine.

Months go on were you guys play games multiple times per week, sometimes with her flatmates or other streamers offstream, you call or interact with her once a day, you hear her struggles with streaming and organising streamers for events. You share how photography was always your passion but you chose a computer science degree thinking it was safe for your career. You have met her a few times since the party in person but only as a group and its always a good time. Her eye contact with you is infectious, and you bump shoulders when standing in a group and shes rubs/pushes back.

Sensing a connection growing, you're still caught off guard while playing fortnite duos and she goes quiet. I like you too.. she timidly says and you play silently for a bit. You're words are stuck in your throat for 20 secs and she's blowing up your headphone, "why are you all quiet now, say something jesus". You ask her when you is next free, and say you guys should hang out alone sometime. shes says "what does that mean, i want to take you on a date" you hear its also stuck in her throat. I like you too. "ok then when and where do you want to go?" - rae. "I thought you were taking me on a date". "Since when could you speak so much huh, answer the dam question"-rae. "not you asking me on a date then making me decide where, that half the work". "you're a man and you should have asked me bro, what like sushi"-rae. "sure, maybe this one down the road". "ok, im free next week, you?"-rae, "i got some stuff that pretty vital.." "ok then, how about the next day, im free in the morning"-rae, "ok that could work," "cool see you then mrbusy"-rae.

We meet at the sushi place. She looks great as always with her natural hair, hoodie, crop top and jeans. We order and eat it quite fast. I push to pay the bill and she lets me even though she would have no problem and offered.
