Even after a few minutes, Mira was still not back. That was strange.

But even stranger were the sounds coming from the corridor.

You go to the door and put your ear to it.

Soft, muffled clapping could be heard. In the same beat again and again the same noise.

Then silence.

Worried, you open the door. The hallway is empty.

The storage room was behind the curtains. You go to check on it, but just before you can move the curtain aside, Mira comes out of the room.

She was slightly flushed. Her hair was a little messed up and she seemed to be sweating.

"Are you okay?" you ask her anxiously.

"Yes... yes... everything is fine. He's sleeping now." She seemed quite out of breath because she was breathing heavily after every word.

But sure enough, a loud snoring could now be heard from the storage room.

"Was it so tiring to bring him here?"

"Uhh... yes, very. I had to do... lend a hand to put him to sleep. Sucked the last bit of the energy out of him."

She wiped her hand across her forehead.

"I have to use the bathroom now though to get cleaned up. You take care until then, okay?"

You just nod.

You were worried that guests might be disturbed by the loud snoring, but you were wrong. Until the evening, you didn't have a single guest entering your Inn.

When the farmer woke up in the evening, he sleepily trundled to the bar, put 30 gold coins on the table, and went home.

It was just strange that he couldn't look you in the eye during that.

You didn't want to accept it, but he insisted.
