An unexpected outcome!

As I walked with Ellie back to the food court, I'm a little surprised to see Tess and Maddie there with a girl I've never seen before. We head over there, and when Maddie sees me, she immediately gets up and gives me a deep kiss, with Tess sliding her new bunny plushie over on the bench so Ellie can sit next to her.

After she pulls back from our kiss, I just look at her with an amused look on my face, and say "Well, hi there," to which she chuckles, and sits back down. I sit next to her, and ask "So who's this?"

Maddie explains how they met Sylvia and what's been going on with her. I look at her and say "Hey, I feel you. I can't say I've ever been that strapped, but I have definitely had to juggle money around to make bills work. Is there anything we can do to help?"

She just smiles ruefully, "Not unless you can either get me a decently paying job, or a free place to live."

I get quiet for a few seconds, thinking, then chuckle, saying "You know, if this were an anime, we'd just have you move in with us and be a live-in maid."

Sylvia perks her head up at that, asking "Is that an option?"

It takes me a second to process what she just said, and I just look at her, "Wait, what?"

She shrugs, "I'm decent at cooking, I don't mind cleaning, I don't have that much stuff, and anybody who will just buy a random person a burger for no reason other than they were hungry can't be all that bad," she looks me in the eye, actually seeming kind of excited, "So is it an option?"

I look over at Maddie, "I mean, we wouldn't be able to pay you very much,"

She cuts in with "I'd be willing to consider room and board the main portion of that."

"We only have two bedrooms, so you'd have to sleep on the couch..."

Maddie chimes in at that point, "Actually, I'd be down to move into your room, if you don't mind, Matt. I've slept in your bed more than mine since we moved in, anyways."

I look at Maddie, whose lips are curling in a slight smile, and her tail is vibrating slightly, as she looks excitedly at me. I look back over at Sylvia, who is looking back with a very hopeful gleam in her eyes. I take a deep breath, and say "Well, all right then. When can you start?"

Sylvia gets a huge grin on her face, and says "I can get most of my stuff ready to go tomorrow, and should be ready to move in and start the day after!"

"Well all right then, I guess we will see you then," I say, and give her both my phone number and the address we're at. She hops off the table and hurries around to give me a huge hug, squishing her boobs against me as she does, thanking me the whole time.

I grab a hot dog for myself, while Sylvia and the rest finish their burgers. She excuses herself to head back to her place to start getting ready, and the rest of us get back to enjoying the fair. We end up winning quite a few plushies and dolls. There's the bunny and dog that Tess and Maddie won earlier, Ellie manages to snag a Garfield squishmallow, Maddie nabs two different foxes (one of which is a nine-tails), and I get this cute little cow that moos when you squeeze it's stomach.

After we've been exploring around for a while longer, Maddie's phone goes off. When she pulls it up to look, she gets kind of quiet for a minute, then takes a deep breath, and says "Hey, guys? Come with me for a minute, there's something I gotta take care of," and she starts leading us in a specific direction.

After a little bit, we end up outside of the Mirror House, and Dani is actually leaning against the railing by it. Seeing us coming, she pushes herself up, and smiles in our direction. "Yo. Figured if we're all gonna be part of this together, it's only fair I get a turn with him myself. You guys mind?" No one voiced any objections, though Maddie was unusually quiet. Dani holds out her hand to me, and I hesitantly take it, with her leading me straight into the maze of mirrors.
