Check in with Mads and Tess

Feeling a wave of very unwanted emotions, Madison watches Ellie pull Matt along after her. Come on Maddie, knock it off! Matt isn't like those other assholes, this time is going to be different! Trying to get her mind to more positive thoughts, she looks at Tess, and asks "So, do you want to go play some games while we wait for them?" She nods, and the two of them start heading off to explore and try out the different games.

At the ring toss, Tess got lucky and managed to win a giant stuffed bunny, which she immediately started carrying around on her head. Maddie managed to nab a nine-tailed fox from the bean bag toss, and after promising herself that if she won she was going to push Matt to his newly enhanced limits after they got home tonight, she made easy work of popping the balloons, despite the darts being dull. After they handed her this adorable-looking sad pug doll, Madison's gaze landed on another fair goer. She's cute.

She was short, even more so then Tess, with long brown hair and eyes. But, where Tess was slim and petite, this girl looked like her tits were the same size as Maddie's but on her smaller frame they seemed huge. Wearing a modest t-shirt and skinny jeans, she's looking around almost like she's in a daze. Maddie's brows scrunch up a little watching her, something seems off.

As Maddie is trying to figure it out, the girl swoons, and collapses onto the ground! Maddie gets Tess's attention and they both hurry over to her, with a few other people milling around looking concerned. Maddie kneels down by the girls head, seeing her eyes open and focusing, and she asks "Hey, are you ok?"

She nods, slowly pushing herself up, "Yeah, just got a little light-headed is all. I'm fine," however right as she says this, her stomach contradicts her by making a very loud gurgle noise.

Maddie's eyebrows raise slightly at this, and she asks "When was the last time you ate something?"

The girl gives a slight blush, before quietly answering "I had a salad last night..."

Maddie gives Tess a knowing look, then helps the new girl up, saying "Come on, lets get you some food," and leading her back to the food court.

Once they get there, she sits Tess and the new girl down at a table, and asks her what she wants. She blushes again, and says "Really, I'll be fine. You don't need to trouble yourself," even though her eyes are locked on the burger stand. Maddie just stands up and heads over there. She comes back a few minutes later with three paper plates, each with a cheeseburger and fries.

She puts one of the plates in front of the new girl, saying "If you're hungry enough to collapse like that, then you won't be fine, eat," as she sets one of the other plates in front of Tess and sits down with the third one, which she had loaded with jalapenos. After just staring at the burger for a few seconds, she picks it up and starts tearing into it, getting half of it in her mouth before she stops and looks up at the other two, who are looking a little impressed.

She swallows what was in her mouth, wipes it clean with a napkin, and says "Thank you. I'm Sylvia," before continuing to eat at a much more controlled pace.

Maddie introduces herself and Tess, then asks "So what's going on, how come you haven't eaten yet? You're way to skinny to be dieting."

Sylvia blushes again, and explains "Money is really tight right now, I lost my job a couple months ago and haven't had any luck finding a new one. I've been making due, but meals are getting few and far between. To be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make rent next month."

Tess and Maddie both get sympathetic looks on their faces, when Tess asks "If money is so tight, then why come here?"

Sylvia looks at her, and replies "There is some stuff here you don't need to pay to do, like the one where you guess how many Skittles are in the jar. Besides, the atmosphere here really lightens my mood. I love seeing people have fun," she finishes, taking another bite of her burger.

Maddie and Tess just look at each other, and change the subject while starting to eat their own food. It turns out Sylvia is starting to get interested in anime herself, though she hasn't been able to pursue it very much, for obvious reasons. After the three of them had been talking for a little, a voice comes from behind Madison, saying "Excuse me?"

Maddie turns around, and sees the bombshell from yesterday, "Oh, hey, you were at the coffee shop yesterday, right? Vanilla hazelnut cappuccino?"

She smiles, "Yes, I'm impressed you remember, with how busy you all were."

"Hard to forget a woman as gorgeous as you," the newcomer just smiles and waves that off, "I'm Madison, this is Tess and Sylvia."

"Monica, a pleasure to properly meet you," Madison motioned to the bench, asking if she'd like to join them, but Monica defers, saying "I only have a few minutes, I just wanted to check on something. See, I just moved into the area, and I happen to be quite interested in things that are unusual, exotic, or unexplainable. I just love looking into a good mystery, no matter how bizarre, and I was wondering if you happened to know of anything like that going on in the area?" Maddie wasn't sure, but she would swear her eyes flicked up to her ears for a split second when she said that.

Madison looked at the other two, who both just kind of shrugged, then turned back to Monica, saying "Not really, no. Nothing much out of the ordinary ever really seems to happen around here."

"I see," she seemed a little disappointed for a second, then her head snaps up for a second, as if she heard something, and says "Well, I'm sorry to cut this short, but I have to get going. I'll come into the café occasionally, let me know if anything does happen, all right?"

"Yeah, sure, no problem," and with that, Monica hurries off. Just a few seconds later, Matt and Ellie come around the corner, having apparently finished their 'date'.

Authors Note: Finally got Monica properly introduced! Lets hear any theories you may have about her, but I guarantee you're wrong XD (if you're one of the people I've talked to about her, keep it quiet! lol). Also, introducing Sylvia. Sylvia was not an original creation by me, but rather an OC from someone I've been talking with that they agreed to let me use. I will leave it to them if they want to come forward about it or not. I probably won't be bringing in any other new characters for the time being, but I am willing to consider adding new ones in the future, so if you have one you'd like to submit as a possibility, feel free to message me!
