"Stop it......"

Aki whispered, lifting a hand to caress his cheek gently. Her warmth was pleasant on his cold skin. And she found herself more inclined to hold onto him whenever she was hot, given his body was always cold.

"....I won't let you kill them.. and I'll personally have everyone keep an eye on them.. if they mature and get the wrong ideas.. then I'll let you send them away..."

She leaned in and brushed her nose against his lightly before pecking his lips.

"...but for now... let me love them... they're our children... give them the benefit of the doubt, see how they grow.... teach them right from wrong about mates and family. I'm sure you would've preferred your mothers warm embrace growing up... her understanding before your father abandoned you at such a tender age?"

She whispered softly with a semblance of hope in her glassy blue eyes.
