Trapped!

Jane pulled open the entrance door, entering the dilapidated lobby. Ignoring the mess, she followed the signs that let to the cafeteria. She hadn’t eaten in a while, and going through a break-up always makes her want to eat her feelings away.

Meanwhile, the Ripper slowly prowled into the building to enter the building, preparing to hunt it’s latest meal.

“Dammit you two, why did you have to say that I don’t love Jane?!” Yelled Alex, as the group continued running.

“I’m terribly, terribly sorry.” Said Sarah. “I’d figured that she deserved the truth. If we’d known that she would run off, we-“

Alex rapidly turned her face to Sarah. “It wasn’t even the truth! I swear, if this ‘Ripper’ kills her…”

“Can you two please be quiet and focus on finding Jane? This isn’t helping!” Said Caroline, as the group reached the entrance.

“Expired, expired, empty, expired.” Moaned Jane, searching for anything edible in the kitchen. “Isn’t there anything good in here?”

Unbeknownst to her, the Ripper slowly crawled towards her. It was about to leap at her, when Jane turned around and looked straight into it’s red and yellow eyes. “Ohh, crap!”

She grabbed a can and tried to throw it in the creature’s face, which narrowly dodged it. Jane ran straight into the freezer, locking it behind her. The Ripper kept dashing and roaring at the door, only to then sit down. It stared almost unblinkingly at Jane. If she didn’t know any better, she’d think that it was formulating a plan.

The group walked into the kitchen, seeing the Ripper sitting before the freezer and Jane trapped. “My God, that thing is gonna kill her.” Whispered Alex panicky. “What do we do?”
