Keep going straight

The glade is still quite a while from here. All I need to do is pay attention to the red glow of the bonfire through the forest. That’ll be my beacon to draw me to where the girls are. I would really like to find the glade at least once.

I keep on walking and walking but I never notice any lights. I knew the glade was far away, but I didn’t think it was this far.

Onwards I go. Never giving up on finding the glade. Until eventually, I give up and admit that I walked past it. Damn it. At this time the girls probably have all returned to the village to. I better go back myself. Ugh, this year’s Samhain is the worst.

The problem with getting back is that a thick cloud had moved in front of the moon, blocking out its light. I have no way of knowing where east or west are. The best I can think of to do is pick the direction I think is the most likely to lead home and keep going.
