What Next?
Meeting
I appear back in the Guildhall with Ramia and Flare with me. Flare's hanging onto Ramia's arm and looks around.
"Thanks for coming Ramia, I know this might be uncomfortable for you." Asami says causing Ramia to nod. "Oh? Who's this?" Asami asks upon noticing Flare.
"T-this is Flare. She's a d-doll I made to help me." Ramia says causing Flare to bow.
"She seems so real. If she were taller I'd have assumed she was a human." Irene says causing Flare to smile.
"Y-yes. Flare's capable of s-showing various emotions. I believe s-she has emotions and c-can even think for herself." Ramia explains causing Marlo to look at Flare in wonder.
"That's a highly advanced doll then. What materials or components did you use as her base?" Marlo asks, causing me to wonder if Asami told them to ask about her Alchemy.
"I used a v-vial of Demon Golem Blood that E-Eric retrieved from a Dungeon. I made s-some Magic Clay and fused as m-much of my mana into it as I could." Ramia explains causing Flare to beam from pride.
"Is that one of Eric's shirts?" Innu asks and Ramia nods awkwardly.
"Y-yes. I didn't have any other c-clothes that would fit her on hand." Ramia replies and Flare looks at her confused.
"Can she speak? Or does she have the ability too?" Irene asks.
"I don't k-know. She might be able to. But she's not even a day old y-yet. It'll take some time to discover that."
"She's really impressive Ramia. I used to work with the government's Lyna branch. I meet a few others who could create dolls like Flare for various reasons, mostly combat. But they all told me that humanoid dolls were nearly impossible to make. They required multiple Legendary items to make, sometimes even Mythical. Not to mention someone skilled enough to merge such high-grade mana together without failing." Marlo says, making me curious about how Ramia made Flare. I make a mental note to ask to watch Ramia make the doll with my blood.
"T-thanks. But Eric let me h-have most of the materials." Ramia replies nervously. I can tell she's happy they like Flare, but she's too shy to let them see it.
"How many materials do you give her Eric? Oh, is it okay to call you by your name, or should I call you Guildmaster?" Irene asks and I chuckle.
"Eric's fine. But I tend to give Ramia all the Alchemy materials I get. I don't know the first thing about Alchemy, so I wouldn't know what to do with them." I say causing her to look at me surprised.
"Really? But you could sell those, couldn't you? I doubt there's a shortage of buyers out there." Irene asks and I shrug.
"I could, but the Guild is doing fine on funds. Besides, what's the point of having an Alchimeist if I sold all the materials she needs."
"Then Ramia, what do you do with the potions or materials you make?" Irene asks Ramia, who smiles a little awkwardly.
"I n-normally put them in storage. I try to m-make things like healing or r-recovery potions. But recently I've b-been helping my parents with their Pact." Ramia explains causing Irene to look at her more curiously. "My p-parents are in a Pact with the Elven forest I u-used to live in. They need to send t-them certain potions every month. I've b-been helping make those potions."
"What kind of payment do they get for it?" Malro asks.
"It was money, t-that they got when they e-entered the Pact. They used to live i-in the forest. Their P-Pact was to supply potions for housing. B-but now it's to pay back what they needed t-to move here." Ramia explains and Marlo nods. Irene opens her mouth to ask something when an alarm starts beeping. Ramia looks at her wrist and presses a button before turning to the others. "I-it was nice meeting you. B-but I need to get back. I have a p-potion brewing I need to check on." Ramia says before taking Flare's hand. The two disappear before anyone can reply.
"You weren't kidding about her shyness." Marlo says causing Irene to nod in approval.
"Yeah, but she'll warm up to you soon." Asami says.
"I hope so, I'm really curious about Flare. I kinda want to see what else she can do." Irene says. We talk about how I met Asami, Luna, and Innu. They're very surprised to learn that Asami used to be a **** for the Katorg Guild. The conversation gets interrupted after about thirty minutes by someone knocking on the door. Asami turns to me and I shrug. I get up and Asami follows me to the door. I open it, expecting Anna, and see Dale.
"Good, I was worried you'd be out." Yuya says upon seeing me. "We're here to drop off the Dimensional Door to the Ruins." He continues while pointing behind him. I see Yuya holding his book while ropes of blue light lift a stone door out of the back of a truck.
"Already? I thought it wasn't going to get here until tomorrow or the day after?" I ask and he smiles.
"That was a quick guess. We were able to get it done sooner. So where do you want it?" He asks causing Asami to step forward.
"We have a spot for it, if you'll follow me I'll show you." She says and Dale nods. Yuya walks up behind him, holding the Door in the air with six blue ropes. Yuya follows Asami inside and through a door. The door leads to five changing rooms. We placed them at the entrance so our members could change into their armor before leaving in an emergency. We're going to buy some of the hair clips that are enchanted with illusion magic. We'll place them in there so they can hide their armor. We decided to put the Dimension Door in the fifth changing room, so it's out of the way and easy to get to.
"It's here!" Luna nearly shouts with excitement upon seeing the Door. She and Innu jump up and run over to me. Dale chuckles seeing them as Asami and Yuya come back.
"I've told Asami the code, is there anything else?" Yuya asks Dale, I can see some bags under his eyes. I wonder when the last time they got a break was.
"Nope, that should be all. Eric, if you're having any issues with the Door give us a call. Oh, don't forget to send the Crystal Hearts to your Guild Agent through your desk. Do you remember how?" Dale asks and I nod. "Good, then we'll get out of your hair, good luck in there." He says and I thank him. I see the two off before turning back to the others.
