They never saw it coming

The five of them met up with the rst of Gryffindors male half in the common room. Apparently, the portrait hole was not open yet. Above the overall chatting, the voice of Lee Jordan rose to say "Okay guys, we are all thinking it, so lets just all agree on it out loud. As everyones attention was on the glowing patronus, it said "You will be led into the Great Hall from a side door, please try and remain quiet as to not be noticed until you are all inside. Follow me."

They followed the patronus downstairs, first whispering among themselves, but the closer they got to the Great Hall, the more everyone got quiet. Noone wanted to ruin the surprise. They were being led through a smaller side corridor and suddenly a part that looked like blank wall swung open to let them enter the great Hall from the back, behind the teachers table.

Harry had the feeling that the female Professors could not see them either. At least noone of them were looking in their direction. Dumbledore however gave the group of arriving Gryffindors a subtle wink.

When Harry looked around the hall, his jaw dropped. All over, there were male students scattered around, invisible to the girls and with hunger in their eyes. And not hunger for the breakfast that was already being served. But that was not the part that Harry focussed on right now.
