A Hybrid

I look at the picture for the next applicant and see a man with horns. He has a scar on his chin and is smiling. His hair and horns are both blue.

"He's a Hybrid?" I hear Liz ask while reading it.

"His name is Marlo, he's a Wind Wyvern Hybrid. He's thirty-one and is currently working with the Government." I say, reading his description before turning to his reasoning for joining. "It says that he wants to join to meet Innu. He wants to meet another Hybrid. He only has one reference but it's a good one, from the government." I say before Luna points to a new button in the bottom left, next to the chart.

"What's this?" She asks and I look at it. It's a yellow button that says Notes.

"This is where people will put in notes that they want the Guild to know about. They're from the applicant and tell them about certain things. For example, some people with cat allergies are allergic to Nekos, like Asami. So they'd put that here, saying they can't be close to Nekos." Liz replies before I tap it. A new window pops up, and it looks like a sticky note. I decide to read it out loud for the others. "If you decide to accept me, I need to inform you that I am married. My wife is a human who knows of the Lyna world. Since we're in another state, we'll need a temporary place to stay during the trial period, as you know. I request you have one that my wife and I can both share. She won't become a member of your Guild, but she does work as an online teacher. So I'd also like to ask that the place is away from any noise." I say before turning to Asami. "How quiet and big are the rooms we have set up?" I ask her.

"They should work. It might be a bit of a tight fit, but it's quiet. If Buldtos makes too much noise during construction, we could take her to your Domain during her classes. She could go into one of the rooms or outside and be left alone. But what about his chart? I didn't get to see it." She asks and I notice the charts, and everything else, become blurred when the notes opened. I close the note and look at the chart. His strength is A, His speed is A, His toughness is S, His magic is A, and his mana is A.

"S toughness? I've never seen someone with S stats. Well, I guess yours would be S Eric. You might even break the charts." Liz says.

"I think we should accept him! He looks like he'd be a good sparing partner." Luna says and Innu nods in agreement. I turn to Asami who nods.

"Why not, he'll be able to join you in the Ruins too." She says and I tap on the Accept button. The next applicant appears and we read their application. We go through three more before finding another to accept. He's a new Lyna named Andrew. This would be his first time in a Guild, so he didn't have any recommendations. However, the government did put in a vague summary of what they thought of him. They said he was nervous but excited, and that he had a surprisingly good aim without using any magic. They tested his accuracy and he hit a bullseye from 60 feet away eight out of ten times. The two times he missed, it was only by a few inches. He uses a bow as his main weapon. His School of Magic is called the Archery School. It lets him fire more powerful arrows and give them homing, allowing them to track monsters. It also has a detection Skill, that he can use to find monsters. His stats are strength at C, speed at C, toughness at D, magic at C, and mana at B. We go through thirty-four more applicants before we accept four more, making seven in total. The four we accepted were all new Lyna and had similar stats as Andrew. Liz pointed out that while we may be popular among the Guilds, most Lyna wouldn't leave their current Guilds to join us. Which is what I assumed, but Luna got mad that she wouldn't be able to go all out against the newcomers.

"So with her, that makes seven. We have Irine who uses Ice magic from a distance, Marlo who's a Wind Wyvern Hybrid, his wife whose a normal human, Andrew who uses Archery magic with his bow, Mavis who uses Shadow magic to sneak around and scout out areas or attack from the shadows, Nick who uses Earth magic to attack and defend, Chase who uses Body magic to strengthen himself, and Abigal who uses Fire magic to attack her foes." Asami says, reading from the list she wrote down as we were going through the applicants.

"Yep, but they might not join. Some of them might've gotten jobs elsewhere before we accepted them. You did have 99+ applicants after all." Liz says and I nod with a sigh.

"How many are left now?" Innu asks.

"82, well 83 including this one. We went through 55, so we had 138 before we started" I say while pointing to the applicant's profile that's open.

"We really need to get the dormitory for the Guild asap." Asami says with a sigh.

"Could you ask Buildtos for an estimate while they're working on the arena?" I ask and she nods. Aami gathers the dishes and disappears. I stand up, but before I go anywhere the Guild Master Device I left on the table starts vibrating. I look at it and see someone's calling it. I didn't know it was able to receive calls. I pick it up and answer, while Luna, Innu, and Liz look at me curiously.
