I want Kiara to join

“You know what.” I say. “I think it would be great if you joined. Maybe you and Amelia can become friends. I mean, you don’t have to. But it would be nice if it could work out.”

“From the time I’ve spend with Amelia, I’ve seen she is a nice person.” Kiara replies. “I have a feeling it could work out between us.”

Kiara and I then head towards my room and she helps me put my armor on. When we are ready, we head out and see Amelia waiting for us. Like yesterday, Amelia is wearing clothes that are sexier than I am used to seeing her wearing. This time the skirt ends somewhere halfway her upper legs. That is quite short for her. Her new shirt also doesn’t have sleeves nor does it cover her shoulders. It is the first time I see her showing her shoulders like this. I guess that means she is not wearing a bra. Finally, her shirt is also tight enough that it presses her breasts together so that they make a cleavage.

“A-A-Am-Amelia?” I stutter. I look her over again, then say, “Y-you look great.”

“T-thanks.” Amelia replies with a blush. “Some more clothes my friends at the Celestial Unicorn guild have been suggesting me. To be honest, I am not quite comfortable in them. I feel like everyone must be staring at me.”

I notice how nervous Amelia is. She’s got her hands on the hem of her skirt, either to pull it down so more of her legs are covered, or to make sure the wind doesn’t flip it up.

“That is just your suspicion.” Kiara informs Amelia. “You feel people are staring at you, because you think people should be staring at you. But in actuality, nobody is staring at you. I can tell, because I am checking out the people around us. All of them are too focused on their own business to even notice you’ve got a short skirt on.”

I look around us and I mostly agree with Kiara. Most people are simply not paying attention. As for the few who do, maybe it would be best if I don’t tell Amelia about that. She would just feel bad.

“I see. Thanks.” Amelia thanks Kiara. Then she turns to me with a big smile and asks, “So, ready to start our first adventure?”

“Yeah.” I say with some melancholy. “Oliver was supposed to be with us for this. I’m going to miss him. But fortunately, Kiara has decided to take his place.”

Amelia’s smile quickly turns to surprise and she turns to face Kiara. “Oh! I-I didn’t … Uhm, I don’t think the quest I have is one that really needs 3 high ranking adventurers.”

She then gives me the parchment the quest is written on. It is to investigate a mansion in the countryside. Apparently, the people living there have been getting sick on the regular and they have no idea why, but it is unusually often. So, they have vacated the place until the mystery has been solved.

“The quest doesn’t say we need to fix the problem. We just need to discover what it is that causes the illnesses.” Amelia explains. “It also pays only 4 silver.”

I nod and say, “I agree that this quest can be done by 2 people. But I would still prefer if Kiara can join us.”

This time, Amelia smiles.

“Alright then. Back in the village we did train a lot as a trio. So let this be our new trio.” Amelia says and shakes Kiara’s hand.

To avoid having a crowd of people chase me like yesterday, Kiara gets us a carriage. Amelia and I get in so we aren’t seen and Kiara takes the reins. This allows me to read the book on ice magic Aelbrecht has given me. I even invite Amelia to sit next to me and read along. It won’t help her with her magic, but I know she likes to read almost as much as me. Unfortunately, her new clothes make it so I am often distracted. My eyes just keep wandering to her cleavage. It’s not that I want to stare at her tits, it happens automatically. Gosh, I hope she doesn’t notice.

When we get to the gate, we get interrupted by the guards knocking on the carriage door. I show them the medallion that shows I am a member of the Dark Dragon guild while Amelia shows the brooch signifying, she is with Celestial Unicorns.

When the guards are satisfied, we sit back down and feel Kiara get the carriage moving again. Except now Amelia is blushing again and has her arms in front of her chest.

“Something wrong?” I ask.

“It’s the guard.” Amelia pouts. “He was looking more at my boobs than the brooch.”

God dammit. If I agree with Amelia on this, she will never grow the confidence to wear these clothes ever again.

I smirk and say, “Well, it’s probably been a while since he’s last seen some that were worth looking at.”, after which I start laughing.

Amelia in turn starts blushing even more and even turns away from me. But then she turns back to me and asks, “Do … do you really think they are worth looking at?”

Crap, I might have said too much. What would be the best thing to tell a girl in a situation like this?
