Infected!

"Uuuugggghhhh..."

Jill grunted as she woke up, finding herself in an empty room. Alongside her was Ada Wong, whom she was cautiously allying herself with as the pair had explored the supposedly abandoned lab.

"Hey. Wake up," said Jill. She sat upright and checked for injuries -- nothing. Ada began to stir, grunting as she awoke as well.

"Ungh. I feel like someone dropped me from a building." Ada stumbled to her feet. She too, was unhurt, but both women knew something was wrong.

"So you've finally woken up," A woman's voice echoed from over a speaker. "Such beautiful women... you'll make ideal lovers."

"Huh? Who's there? Can you hear us?" Jill asked, suddenly awake and alert.

"Of course I can hear you," the mysterious woman replied. "I'm so glad you're here. You're perfect. Even prettier than I'd hoped. You two are perfect specimens..."

"Specimens? What did you do to us?!" Jill yelled angrily, hoping to provoke some kind of response from their unseen captor. Whoever this woman was, though, she seemed all to eager to speak to the two visitors.

"Why, I've set you free. I've given you the gift of pure love," came the reply. "And eternal youth."

"What the hell does that mean?" Ada spat, struggling to understand what was being said. "Who are you?"

The woman, clearly amused, told the two women "You'll learn in due time. Eventually you'll come to see things my way. I guarantee that you will experience pleasures beyond your wildest dreams. I would advise you not to fight the feelings that will overtake you... Submit to me now, my loves, and we shall live together as lovers for as long as we desire..."

"Uhh, yeah. Not happening," said Jill. "I don't know what weird virus you've obviously infected us with, but I've been through this song and dance before. And let me just say: it won't end well for you."

"Such a shame. I had hoped we wouldn't have to play this game," the woman said. "But I have prepared for it. I know you both will come to love me as much as I do you eventually..."

"Yeah, yeah," Ada said dismissively. "Have you got anything else to say before we find you and kick your ass?"

"I suppose if we're to be lovers, you both should know my name," replied the voice from nowhere. "It's Anna... or more accurately, Annabelle. And I very much look forward to meeting in the flesh. Until then, my darlings."

The woman disconnected from the line, leaving Jill and Ada to fend for themselves.

Jill sighed, shaking her head in frustration. "We don't have any time to waste. Knowing Umbrella, there's some sort of vaccine or antidote to whatever she's infected us with."

"Let's start looking, then," Ada said, and the pair opened the door to the empty room. They were no longer in the lab; they'd been taking somewhere else in Pineridge. They would have to find their way back to the lab, which complicated things. They didn't have much time...

Annabelle sat back, smiling. Jill and Ada's resistance to her advances didn't matter to her; she knew that they'd be hers eventually. Still, she reasoned, it couldn't hurt to have some insurance.

"Astarias," Annabelle called out, and the massive monster answered obediently. "Be a dear and bring me those two gorgeous test subjects, would you? I'm dying to get to know my new brides..."
