"What did you want to talk about?" I asked my sister, choosing not to use the ring's power and instead allowing her the freedom to express herself.

She hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before she began. "Well, it's just that...I've been facing some challenges at work lately. As my sister finished packing her bags and getting ready to leave, I felt a pang of anxiety at the thought of losing the newfound connection we had established.

Her eyes met mine, and a smile spread across her face. "You're right, John. I think it's important for us to stay connected and be open with each other, no matter where we are. I promise to answer your messages honestly."

With that assurance, I felt a mixture of relief and guilt.
