Gifting

Before Verona can ask me what my plan is, Asami appears.

"Master, are you done filling out the reports?" She asks and I nod. She sees Verona and pauses. "Sorry if I interrupted. I'm getting dinner ready." She continues while setting a pot down on the table.

"It's fine, we just finished anyway." Verona says and Asami smiles relived.

"Is it already time for dinner?" I ask and Asami giggles.

"Yes, you spent a few hours on those reports." She replies and I sigh. I help her set the table while Veorna gathers the others. We eat dinner while talking about the day. Luna gets Verona to agree to another match. The two disappear as soon as they're done eating. I help Asami with the dishes again before returning. I take out my phone and give Myla a call.

"Hello?" She asks as soon as she picks up.

"Hey Myla, what are you doing now?" I ask her.

"I'm taking a break from training. I always train after dinner." She replies and I smile.

"Are you at the joint Guild Hall?"

"Yeah, do you want to join us?"

"I could, but I have something I want to give you."

"Oh, what is it?" She asks curiously.

"It's a surprise." I reply and she sighs. "But I'll be there soon."

"Wait!" She says before I hang up. "I'll come to get you. It'll only take a moment." She says before hanging up. She appears in front of me a moment later. She's wearing her armor and has her sword sheathed. Her shield is strapped to her arm, just above her wrist.

"That was quick." I say and she smiles. She reaches her hand out to stop me as I walk to her.

"Hold it! Surprise first mister!" She says and I chuckle.

"What if I want to wait?"

"Nope. You can't taunt me with a surprise. It drives me crazy trying to figure out what it is. So hand it over!" She replies and I smile. I take the Silver Vine Shield out of my inventory. She looks at it before looking at me.

"You got me a shield?" She asks sounding a little disappointed.

"Do you not like it?" I ask back and she shakes her head no.

"No, it's not that. I just wasn't expecting it. I thought you'd have gotten me something else." She says and I sigh. "Sorry! I always do this when I'm told I'm getting something. I start thinking of what I'll get, then I get disappointed because I set my expectations too high. So, what kind of shield did you get me?" She asks curiously.

"Well, I made you this Shield using some new materials of mine. It's called the Silver Vine Shield and it's of Mythical quality." I say before describing the Glass Ball and the Skills it gives the Shield. After I finish she looks at me.

"Eric, I really do appreciate this. But I can't take it. As I told you on our date, I'm still learning how to use a shield in combat." She says and I smile.

"I know, I didn't forget." I say and she looks at me.

"Then why'd you make me a Mythical shield?"

"Because I'm worried. I don't want you fighting monsters with a weak shield. That's why I made one that doesn't boost your Strength or anything. It is shock resistant and it has two Skills, but you can just not use them. That way, in practice, it's basically the same as your current shield. It's just tougher." I say and she smiles. She jumps on me and wraps her arms around me.

"Thank you!" She says happily. She lets go and takes off her shield before putting it in her pouch. She puts on the new one and swings her arm. "It's lighter than I thought. It can't be more than one or two pounds." She says shocked before looking back at me. "What did you make this out of?" She asks making me pause. I can't tell her I got the Silver Vines from a seed I got as a reward for taking her virginity. I think before responding.

"I got some new plants for the farm from a Dungeon. I was able to make it from those." I say and she looks down at her new shield in awe.

"You made this from plants?" She asks and I nod. She smiles before sighing again. "Why am I still surprised." She quietly asks herself. "Anyways Eric, are you coming to join us for training?" She asks and I nod.

"Sure, let's go." I say and she grabs my arm. She takes me back to the training arena. I don't see Kallen or Kagiyama there. I spend the rest of the day mainly sparing with Myla. The other guild members are there, but most don't spar with me. The few that do, get tossed on their asses quickly. Literally in some cases. Once the others start to leave I return to my Domain. I appear in front of Luna, making her jump before tackling me in another hug.

"Alpha! Where were you?" She asks and I tell her what I was doing. She gets mad that I didn't take her. She drags me outside and demands to spar. We start sparring and she puts up a much better fight than the guild members. Is Luna really that strong? I mean, I know she can handle her own. But is she really that much stronger than the average Lyna? Actually, didn't she say something about sparring with Kallen and Kagiyama? I think before taking a hit. I start attacking more often, not using magic. Luna seems to do the same, since she hasn't used any spells. I end the fight after a few minutes of us dodging each other. I grab her tails making her back shoot up straight. I wrap my arm around her neck and put her in a chokehold. Once she stops I let her go and she jumps on me. She starts growling while talking about how her tails are highly sensitive. I kiss her and she stops. She lightly punches me before getting up. We walk inside and go to bed.
