Huck as she's heading out the door

Nicole wakes up, rolls over, and looks at the clock. Almost 10 a.m. on a Saturday. She smiles. "I deserved a sleep-in," she says to herself. "In fact," she keeps speaking to herself as she gets out of bed, "I deserve something nice from the mall." Nicole decides to treat herself by going shopping. She showers, does her make-up and hair, and puts on a cute outfit. Usually, if she went shopping, she'd tell her Discord group. It had become a routine for them to give her a task while she was out. This time, she wanted a break. It had been a long week.

"Fuck," she says as she heads out the door. Nicole remembers she didn't block out her calendar. According to the rules, she was supposed to always give one hour's notice for any new calendar blocks, but what were the chances Huck would be on his way? She opens her calendar app, blocks out the next two hours, locks her door, and heads to the apartment parking lot.

She stops when she sees Huck climbing out of his truck. "Seriously," she whispers as she ducks behind a tree. She was looking forward to getting out.
