The Lich Kings Pets

"Is the Katorg Guild with them?" I ask and Kallen sighs.

"We're not sure. We know this is where they stored the corpses. They set up a magic dome and surrounded it with sand. That way no one could see it. But we don't know if they just told the Lich to come get them. Or if they're waiting for them." Kagiyama says and I nod.

"So, what's the plan?" Asami asks them.

"We don't know what's waiting inside. We can see some corpses but they're all weak monsters. We put one of the Oni corpses for sale and it's underground here. We don't know what else is down there. So all we can do is attack and find the entrance to the underground area. Then we'll go down and find the Lich. Eric, you Kallen, Sugano, and I will lead the charge. We'll destroy the dome and break in. We're not sure how the Lich King will respond, so keep your guard up." Kagiyama says and I nod.

"What about you?" I ask my gramps who laughs.

"I have to stay back and guard the camp. Riot, the Katorg Guild Leader may show up. That is if he isn't underground." My gramps says and I nod.

"What about us?" Innu asks and Liz steps forward.

"You'll be joining me. You, Luna, Myla, Hino, and I will be taking out any monster corpses that the Lich King turns. Should the Lich show himself, Eric and the others will take him." She says and Innu nods.

"What about me?" Asami asks disappointed.

"You'll be joining the backline fighters. They specialize in ranged attacks or summoning as you do." Sugano says and Asami nods. "Just to confirm though, you have a Minotaur Soul that fights with a hammer, correct?" She continues and Asami nods.

"Yes, but Eric recently got a Greater Twin-Tailed Wolf Soul. So I'll be using that too." Asami says causing Sugano to nod and write something down.

"I think that's all then, are you ready?" Kallen asks and we all nod. He leads us out and gathers everyone. They go over the plan again, explaining how we'll lead the attack and focus on finding the underground entrance. Sugano explains how they'll mostly focus on taking out the Lich King's undead minions. After they finish we move out. We slowly make our way to the sandy hill. It takes about half an hour to walk through the sand. Once we get there Kallen looks around and makes sure everyone's in position. He raises his hand to signal the attack when the sand covering the dome moves. It flies up like a gust of wind just blew it from below. It then disperses and the blue dome gets exposed. The dome immediately vanishes, starting from the top and moving down. The corpses are all alive, eyes glowing with a blue flame. I see Goblins, Trolls, and Giant Spiders. Three figures are standing in front of the undead. I recognize all three of them. There's Riot, the Katorg Guild Master. Kallen showed me his pictures before. Next to him is Barry, Katorg's second in command. I recognize him from when I first met the Golden Devil. The Lich King is standing in front of them. He's holding his boney staff and steps forward. He's smiling and looks around, seeming pleased.

"What took you so long to get here!?" The Lich King shouts.

"Shit, they knew we were coming." Kallen says with a grunt.

"Should we continue with the attack?" Sugano asks and Kagiyama nods. Before they can do anything the Lich King steps forward.

"Well! Are you coming or not?" He shouts and Kallen nods.

"Charge!" Kallen shouts before running ahead. I take out my Horns, Claws, Boots, and cast Ancient Beastial Strength. I follow along with Kagiyama and Sugano. I hear the sounds of the two Guild's other members running behind us. As soon as we do the Lich King starts laughing. He raises his staff in the air and the undead around him charge forward. I see one Troll and two Giant Spiders charge at us. I leap to the front and cast Create Fire. Since the undead, and the Lich King are weak to fire I have a major advantage over them. What with being the Flame Devil and all. I make the fire take the shape of a sword and cut the three undead in half.

I quickly store the drops as I pass the corpses. I see the Lich King looking at me amused and he raises his staff again. The ground starts to shake as the rest of the undead pass us. They ignore us completely, Kallen even cuts off a Troll's arm and it keeps going. I see the sand behind the Lich, Riot, and Barry raise. It grows into another hill before two long wings blow the sand away. The creature underneath shakes the rest off and steps forward. I see it's a Dragon, but it's much bigger than any I fought before. Its flesh is decayed, and I can see the bones under its wings. Part of its rib cage is exposed and its eyes are burning with a bright blue flame.

"Behold! MY MOST BEAUTIFUL PET! A GREATER UNDEAD DRAGON!" The Lich King shouts while holding his arms out. The Greater Undead Dragon roars and I see an Undead Oni jump off its head. I Observe it and the Lich King, Barry, and Riot while I'm at it.

I stop my charge along with the others. They've gotten stronger since I last Observed them. Well, so have I. But that Dragon... I think before turning to the others. They look at the Dragon stumped. It's clear they never expected this. I turn back around and reach forward with both my hands. Eimbis and Barai are level 58 and 57 now. If they merge their stats will combine, then double. They'll have the advantage thanks to Eimbis's fire. I'm sure they can take it. Or at least hold it off until we finish the Lich. That should cause all his undead to self-destruct. I think while taking Eimbis and Barai out of my Familiar Marks. I see the Lich King's face turn to shock before becoming amused.

"What are those lizards going to do?" He asks and I smile. I have them use their Union skill and they jump at each other. They collide in the air and turn into a ball of light.
