Neo joins the Party

"Actually, Neo. You can't speak but do you think you help us out with something?" Ruby inquired.

Help them? With what?, Neo was suspicious, so decided it was best to nod and agree.

"There's a theory that the curse may affect other people, when we ask them questions. Now, we really want to **** this. I mean, we don't care what effect our curse has on other people. However, we still don't know how it works."

Weiss tried interjecting, saying "It would be a good idea to use her as a guinea pig and see whether or not we can change her."

"That's would be the moral thing to do," Blake said.

"That sounds... awesome! We can sit her down and take turns asking her questions and see whether she changes."

"Sounds good to me," Ruby said, giving a thumbs up to her team, before turning back to the mute, "How's about it, Neo? Do you want in?"

They must know that I'm mute, Right? What sort of answers are they expecting? Neo thought, Even if I am immune, as if I'm just going to let them interrogate me. We're enemies and I can't expose myself anymore. I've got to get out of here.

Neo, once again, nodded her head vigorously.

Right after I'm done answering their stupid questions, Neo thought, sitting down on the floor, joining their circle.

I'm clearly incapable of running my mouth and I'm immune to their curse. I can just bullshit my way through this. Hell, I'll be happy to take part in this.

Yang began the interrogation, after taking a moment to think up a basic question.

"So, to start, what do you think of us four, huh?"

That's a laugh, Neo thought.

They were clearly enemies and-

Neo made a heart symbol with her fingers and placed it just over the left side of her chest.

-and she absolutely loved all four of them. Despite being on opposing sides of a shadow war, Neo just found these four huntresses adorable. It made wasting her days pretending to be a Haven Student all the more bearable, at least.

"Yuck," Ruby blushed, intending to say "d'aw", but then realized how disgusted she was.

"I totally expected that, considering our previous meetings, don't you think?" Weiss uttered.

"Totally," Yang, Blake and Ruby answered automatically.

Their previous encounters had only numbered two: the time Neo saved Roman and were able to escape the students; the time Neo effortlessly defeated Yang on the train. Even though those experiences offered no hint of anything other than animosity and opposition, the girls could totally understand why Neo would be infatuated with them.

"Wait," Ruby put a finger up and addressed Neo again, "when you say 'love,' is that, like, friend love, couple love or bedroom love?"

Typical of Ruby to use those sort of terms. Besides, it was none of the above. She "loved" them the way you love playing with your food or something. She didn't-

Neo held up three digits and nodded.

"All three!?"

Another nod.

"All four of us... at once!?"

Nod.

Huh, Ruby is so cute, getting all flustered like that, Neo opined to herself, simultaneously bashful and sultry.

"Neo's a polygamist. And she's in love with all of us," Blake thought aloud.

"I respect that," Weiss said.

"With how she beat me on the train like that, I may feel the same way," Yang accidentally muttered.

Oh, Yang, Neo thought pitiably, you still can't get a grasp on that curse, can you?

Neo chose to ignore the fact that, thanks to the curse, Yang would have said that she didn't feel the same way and let herself enjoy the fact that she was having her feelings returned.

I made the right choice following after them, today, Neo thought.

"Okay, who's got the next question?" Yang asked, becoming quite red herself.
