A little test

Kumiko grew ever more suspicious of her flying sidekick. She needed to test whether or not Kitty was really “Kitty.”

“Hey Kitty, when all of this is over, would you want some blueberry cake? I’ll make some.”

“Of course, Kumiko. How kind of you.” Cheered her friend.

Strange. Kitty couldn’t stand the taste of blueberry. Made him rather nauseous.

“Stupid question, but are you supposed to put vinegar in the cake?”

“What the… no! That would ruin the whole cake!”

“Oh yeah. Silly me.” Kumiko put up a fake smile, grabbing the back of her head with one hand.

Even stranger. Kitty loves everything, and I mean everything with vinegar. He said that it would almost salvage the taste of blueberry.

“You know, I’ll take a selfmade smoothie with my cake. Feels like a good way to cap off the day.”

“Sure, you do that.”

“…”

“…What?” The quokka said confused.

“Oh, nothing. Just focused on the mission and all.

Okay, now she knows something is up. Two years ago Kumiko tried to make a smoothie, only to forget to put the cap on the mixer. When everything squirted up, she panicked and grabbed the mixer which spread the smoothie even further. Her kitchen, living room and she herself were covered in juice. Kitty couldn’t stop laughing for two days straight, and even as recently as last week, if Kumiko even mentioned the word “smoothie” he couldn’t stop making jokes at her expense.

She doesn’t know who this is, but this isn’t Kitty. She decided to play her cards close to her chest, and act like the fool for a minute.
