Adventure Time?

Our Adventurer's Set Off!

Thankfully, Brandy is allowed some time to prepare herself, and to allow Robert time to recover from his injuries. But in only a few short days, Brandy leaves with Robert in order to help him, and to go out and get ‘wiser’.

[Is it still Raining when Brandy and Robert leave?: No, but]

Thankfully, it isn’t raining yet. But the weather looks pretty bad and if Brandy had to guess it is probably going to start raining before long. Still, Brandy and Robert seem to be making good time, if they don’t get delayed they might even be able to reach the scene of the attack with in a day.

But a delay does happen, and it takes the form of a group traveling on the road from the other direction. As the groups get closer, a scowl starts to appear on Robert’s face, but Brandy [2d6-2. (3,2)-2=3] is oblivious to his discomfort as the two of them get closer to the group.

When the group gets close enough, someone at the front looks at Robert and recognition flashes across his face. “Robert, is that you?! I thought you were dead” This gets a laugh out of the group, with Robert chuckling nervously in reply.

Oblivious to Robert’s nervousness, Brandy innocently asks “Oh, are these friends of yours Robert?”

Brandy’s statement gets a nervous laugh out of Robert, and a loud one of the new arrival. The newcomer speaks up first “Oh, me and Robert go way back. But” now he looks straight at Robert, a hint of malice in his eyes. “I wouldn’t call us friends.”

Robert has a hand on his sword, not drawing it, but ready to at a moment’s notice. “Doesn’t mean we are enemies either.”

The newcomer chuckles a bit. “Under normal circumstances, maybe. But you know how it is. Business is business and all that.”

[Brandy 2d6-2 Oblivious: rolls (4,3) 7-2=5]

Still unaware of the hostility between these two men, Brandy innocently asks “Oh, are you an Adventurer like Robert?”

Not only does this get a laugh out of the new arrival, but his men laugh as well. “No dear lass, I’m now quite a romantic like Robert. No, I think of myself more of a bounty hunter. And your bounty Robert, has doubled since last we spoke. I don’t know what you did, but someone wants you dead.”

Initiative Rolls

Bounty Hunter: Initiative 2d6+5 (Major Edge)=15.

[Stats]Based on Hire Sword Stats(pg 243); added Combat Technique (Lightning Reflexes 2), Bastard Sword(3+accurate-hands) and leather armor (AR10)

Robert: character sheet HERE Initiative 2d6+6=13

(to determine how many mercenaries there were I rolled a 1d6, got a 2)

(2) Mercenaries: Initiative 2d6+6=11

Highway Bandits(pg 242); added longsword(3)

Brandy: Going Last because she was oblivious to what was going on.

Author's Notes: If I keep making Brandy THIS oblivious I am going to have to increase it from a -2 to a -3, lol.

Now for the fight! I'll roll it out and then narrate what happens. Hopefully it doesn't take me that long :P
