Legal Troubles

Before Lucy could finish her sentence her and the rest of the party were at the front of the labyrinth.

Lucy: “ …. Fuck?”

Everyone looked around to see that they were all there including Sillica and Henrietta who were in containment cells.

A Random adventurer yelled “ Look it's him! He's got the girls with him, lets get him!”

Mark was too distracted trying to see if Daisy was still alive to notice the sudden attack. Not that it mattered as the Party was teleported once again to a well furbished room. Tal'E and Esla were trying to unlock the containment units when Daisy shot up head butting Mark.

Daisy: “ I'm up! I mean I wasn't asleep! Yes Daisy is a hard worker! ….. why does my chest hurt.”

Mark scratched the back of his head “ I may of thought that you needed CPR... sorry.”

Daisy messaged her breast as she looked at Mark “ Suppose there are worse things than a looker like you pounding the goods but for next time I think another limb would be more appropriate.”

Mark was trying to look Daisy in the face and failing. Lucy coughed loudly breaking up the moment.

Lucy: “ AHEM! Am I right in thinking that this room is one of our VIP perks?”

Daisy's clip board materialized out of nowhere as she stood up “Yes! This is the rest area that you may use as you wish, it is separate from the one used by the Gollantalk family and the Heroes Academy all loot that you acquire may be left here.”

Lucy: “ Does that include my stuff!!!”

Daisy flipped through her clipboard until she found what she was looking for. “ It would seem that the majority of your items have been stored though some of it was confiscated as evidence by Forged Justice the sum total of the list seems to be a series of blue prints.”

Lucy: “ What about my goggles?”

Mark handed a bag to Lucy with her goggles and shot gun along with several other items. Lucy looked through the bag for a moment then huffed while turning her back. Daisy opened a portal and went through before coming back “ I have verified that this portal leads to the first floor maze. Please rest and enter as you please, this room is yours for the next two years.

Mark: “ Did Mom really pay for two years?”

Daisy: “ No sir. While Mother Gollantalk has sent a letter petitioning us to allow you to use her VIP room she has reached the limit allowed her. Your VIP package has been paid for by the Devil and the Fae Queen,”

Everyone froze as they heard who had been footing the bill. The Devil would have been bad enough but the Fae Queen was well known for her way of getting into peoples lives.

Everyone bolted for the portal when a spear of light suddenly fell in front of them.

Fairy Spear man: “ If I may have a moment of your time.”

The party turned to see a well dressed fairy holding another spear talking to them through a gas mask. “ My lady bids the welcome and has sent gifts if would but one of you register for the Market we will consider the favor of VIP status returned and prevent the devil from further undue influence.”

Esla raised her hand “ I'm all ready registered.”

The Fairy wagged it's finger “ If you had read page 200 paragraph five of your latest party pass you would know that you are exempted from representing a group as are the ladies Tal'E and Lucy. The Party groaned as the implications as Mark approached the Fairy “ I would like to call my attorney.

Fairy Spear man: “ She has a copy of the document and is awaiting your call.”

Mark dialed the number of the family attorney, after a ring a familiar voice answered. “ Hello Doras Gollantalk Attorney at law is this a marriage proposal, child support claim. Or property damage.

Mark: “ Hi Mom! There is a fairy here saying she sent you some paper work?”

Doras Gollantalk sat up in her chair “ Oh hey Mark how you been! Heard you got yourself caught up in a real stink can't help ya with that, but this fairy thing is on the level for them anyway. They will stop the Devil from messing with you traps, teleportation that kind of thing. In return they want to watch how you fight nothing too major unless you call for aid then they got you locked in for a “visit” to the market. But you know better than to do that don't you.

Mark: “ Yes, thanks Mom.”

Mark hung up. “ I will sign the version of the document that you sent Doras Gollantalk of my mother's wife assuming it has not been altered in any way.”

The Fairy Spear man put back the papers it had pulled out and produced a slightly smaller document. “ Almost had ya!”

Mark ignored them and signed the papers. That done the fairy left through the portal.

Everyone sighed: “ Fucking Fae!”

Lucy pulled out a pair of diving rods as she inspected the room tossing several thing through the portal before sitting down. “ That's all the detectable bugs now we can talk.”

Daisy stepped through the portal to give the group some privacy
