The Chamber Dragonmaid

Aluber clears his throat, though it seems far more of a show. Albaz knew that everything this man spouted was a lie or twisted truth, a script written by a higher being which he acts out with gleeful malice. But his next words are not directed to him.

"Ah, this conversation has my throat dry. Chamber?"

"Yes, Master Aluber."

From out of the shadows, a maid dressed in black shows herself wearing a fancy uniform, holding a cup of tea. The sudden appearance made him wince, and yet the maid herself did not react to his presence. If anything, he would not be surprised by a human appearing out of nowhere, or perhaps the cursed angels that formed the Despian Theatre's major forces.

"Is she... a dragon?"

The maid, despite looking human, had horns and a thick black tail curled under her skirt, scales glistening under the shallow moonlight.

"Why, yes. A Dragonmaid. A reptile such as yourself must have heard of their tale, yes?" Aluber mocked him, to which, the maid finally turned to address him, bowing politely with a certain aura of mannerism.

"My name is Chamber, of the Dragonmaid, Master Albaz."

Though she had yet to show any hostility, Albaz feels a bead of cold sweat roll down his cheek. There wasn't anything he could sense from Chamber, and surely he could easily overpower her if he needed. But in terms of Dragonmaid, he had asked Ecclesia about it. Somewhere out in the world, there was a mansion of glorious design, and those who live in it are a host of dragons in shape of women. Beautiful as they are, legends say that they are loyal to a fault, and will not forgive anyone who dares to harm their master.

And right now, one of them called Aluber her master.
