Chapter 19 by SingingLark SingingLark

How should Liandra improve her relationship with Kendra.

They reveal more about each other.

"It is fine" Kendra found Liandra's smile irresistible, and offered her hand, which was immediately accepted.

The two walked to Kendra's bed, the only soft piece of furniture in the room. Kendra sat first, and motioned Liandra to lay down with her head on her lap. She did, only to have her hair caressed.

"Tell me more about yourself, Liandra. Tell me about growing up in this Castle." And the princess did, sharing tales of joy and happiness. Her pure innocence was obvious, a precious trait that would be impossible in the harsh land of Nocternia. Kendra had no control of the tear that ran down her face.

Liandra didn't ask why Kendra cried, she just brushed it away and held her paramount close. She sang a sweet lullaby, and Kendra told a tale of her own childhood, of fighting against malevolent imps when she was just seven. Liandra was amazed at the heroism at such tender age, and gave Kendra a long kiss for her heroism.

They continued to barter memories, only occasionally tempered by a gentle caress. They found themselves laughing at each others jokes, and even found a song or two they knew in common. They barely saw the time pass by, and before they knew the rooster crowed, heralding the morning.

Liandra is very tired. Should she sleep there? or return to her rooms, before everyone wakes up?
