Liandra understood it now. She just had to go for it. She broke the kiss with the countess and thanked her.
“Thank you for your advice, Elysa. You’re a real friend.”
“Anytime, Princess.”
“Just one more question. Could you tell me where I can find Kendra?”
Elysa smiled. “Of course, milady.”

There was a loud banging on Kendra’s door. Baroness ‘the blackhand’ was most unpleased with this. People in the castle here have often played pranks on her for being a Nocternian and she was getting sick of it. She’d give this one a scare so big he’d soil himself on the spot.
She summoned a shadowy claw on her hand like she did before in the gardens and opened the door.

When the door opened, Liandra threw herself at Kendra. Kendra was so surprised, she lost her balance.
For Liandra, the moment felt like it was passing in slow motion. She threw her arms around Kendra, hugging her, and her lips homed in to those of Kendra. She was kissing the baroness before they collided with the ground.

“The hell …” Kendra reacted, unsure what to make of this. “What are you doing?”
“I’m sorry about earlier, Kendra. I just … you see … it was was my first time … and well … that is I … what I mean to say is …”
Liandra couldn’t say anything without stammering.
Kendra unsummoned the shadow claw before Liandra noticed it, then told her to calm down.
“Calm down, Liandra. I’m not upset with you.”
The ring told the princess that was a lie.
“Yes you are, I know you are.” Liandra snapped back.
“Ufh,” Kendra sighed. “Ok fine, maybe a little. But it is still nothing you should excessively apologize for.”
This however was the truth. This caused Liandra to smile.
“Thanks for that. I was so worried about it. I really wanted to make it up to you.
