After a while of spacing out, Olive finally decided to input her two cents. "Don't blame yourself for this one, Max. Even if you remembered she still worked here, what are the odds that her shift overlapped with our lunch break, and that she worked on the day we decided to go? Next time we go here, it'll probably be her day off, with our luck."

"I hope so. That was one of the most awkward things I've dealt with in a while."

"And it's about to get even more awkward, she's heading back over!"

As you're face to face with Eleanor, this time, you're more prepared. "Look. We aren't here to cause a fight. I honestly just forgot you worked here. So why don't you tell me what times you're on so we don't accidentally meet again?"

Eleanor does not respond, places the two of your plates down, and walks away. "That works too, I guess."

As the two of you continue along with lunch, you end up having a good time, despite the rocky start. Olive is very fun, and brings a distinct energy you don't see from any of the other girls on the app. By the time you get the check, you've forgotten all about Eleanor.

Well, until she asks for you. Olive makes a praying motion and waits outside.

Eleanor looks at you with a neutral expression, so you're not able to tell what she's thinking until she speaks.
"Max? I'm going to be honest here. I don't like you. But if you're going to be coming here often, I think I can deal with that. I'll just ignore you like every other customer. I was just clowning on you the first time because I thought it was funny. Have fun with your little new girlfriend!"

Well, that went about as well as it could for Eleanor. As you walk to your car, you check the app.

The biggest surprise of all is the lust score. Obviously, someone could sleep with you and not like you, as your relationship with Daphne shows, but this feels off. It's also not very helpful, as propositioning Eleanor on the middle of a date with another woman will get you nowhere. It's just something to think about as you drive back to work.
