Kat bids on the Magic Show

“Well, I know what I want!” Kat declared, pointing at the magician’s assistant listing on the phone.

“It IS only a few lots away,” Janette noted.

“I’m fine with it if everyone else is,” Wyatt added.

Everyone nodded, so it was decided that the first item they would go for would be Kat’s magic show. They waited through the next few auctions. They went the same as the first. The winning bidder would go up to claim their prize and after it was complete, they would instantly flash out of the general area.

“That is a magic trick on its own,” Kat said, after the latest vanishing occurred. “This magic show better be something!”

Over time, the vanished winner would return to the room, looking like they’ve gone through an experience. They would reappear in the exact spot they disappeared, which was on stage, which everyone would see, so there was no sneaking back into your seat after you got back. It wouldn’t interfere with the flow of the auction though because the MC was a consummate professional and would carry on regardless.

Finally they reached the lot that Kat was vying for. So far the bids have been low, not going over ten minutes. This particular item seemed to defy that as bidding came in hot and heavy. In a matter of seconds it had reached a five minute bid. Not long after, it crept up to ten. The war whittled down to three bidders, Kat; a dark haired lady in a Flamenco gown with large frilled shoulders and matching frilled skirt; and a smaller blonde wearing a body tight, glossy halter corset and skirt.

“Are you sure you want it that badly?” Kayla warned her sister. “We still don’t know where you go when you vanish!”

“Everyone’s come back so far, that’s a good sign, right?” Kat replied, eyeing her competition to see who had the top bid.

The bid built up to fifteen minutes, then to twenty, then to twenty five. The blonde dropped out and it was down to Kat and the Spanish lady. By this time they were beginning debate in their heads whether the experience was worth the time they were putting on it. Bids came slower, but continued to steadily climb.

Kat’s unwavering willingness to one up her opponent eventually paid off as the other lady finally bowed out, leaving Kat the victor! As much as the other lady wanted it, Kat wanted even more and was unthreatened by the price tag.

“Sold to the lady in red for 34 minutes!” the auctioneer called out, slamming down on his gavel.

“Woohoo!” Kat celebrated, jumping out of her chair. The audience applauded politely while her table hooted and hollered, clapping wildly for her!

Kat hurried up to the stage and was greeted by the Magician, a suave looking gentleman with dark hair. He took her hand and kissed it. “It will be a pleasure performing with you, miss!”

“The pleasure’s all mine,” Kat smiled. They introduced themselves. The magician’s name was Dirk Danger. It was an obvious stage name, but he looked the part of a roguishly handsome daredevil. Kat was immediately charmed.

Dirk took her to the back so they could prepare for the stage show. It was going to take place after the next intermission and give the auctioneer a fifteen minute break. Kat was given a few outfit options to wear. She opted for the bejeweled singlet with a sheer front that could show off her cleavage. The next step was to go through what she needed to do for the act.
