Chapter 80 by BlackMonosh BlackMonosh

Do you follow her?

You follow the woman

Maybe the adventurous warrior in your blood, or you're being confident enough to defeat any ambush all on your own, but you follow the woman. Soon you see a house and a field next to it, and the pattern repeats a few more times until she finally stops at the door of one, unlocks it. The woman enters the house, and you follow suit.

"Please have a seat, My Lord while I fetch something to drink," the woman says as you seat yourself at the dining table. Now that you're close enough, you can see that your hostess is good-looking. While her being a commoner means she has less access to beautifying products, unlike Suzanne or even Ilse, who's working for her, the slightly rough appearance doesn't detract her beauty; in fact, you find yourself drawn towards her. Long blonde hair, well-kept in a ponytail and deep green eyes, if she's properly groomed, she can pass off as a minor noblewoman, as long as she sits still and says nothing.

Then again, there are some nobles that you know whose conducts are worse than serfs.

You find the two of you being alone in the house to be strange. The woman is probably in her late twenties or even early thirties, but she lives alone, without a husband or a child. Despite the baggy cloth, her womanly form is still visible.

The woman serves you some sort of herbal tea, and the two of you sit in front of each other, sipping tea. While you can take the lead, you're interested to see where she will take you. Finally, the awkward silence becomes too much, and she asks you, "How is it, My Lord?"

"You're certainly good at making it," you remark cooly. You decide to be magnanimous and lead the conversation, since her social position makes it harder for her to do so. "Why did you beckon me? Do you seek my help?"
