The hag just cackled in joy.

You smile at her, “Since this occurred in your house, I do believe we owe you for it. How about their lootbags?”

She just laughed and accepted.

Getting more serious you tell her “I think it would be best if the ritual was done as best as possible. I’m not selling you these rubies, or gifting them, but investing them. Thus you do not owe me anything for them. Agreed?”

She narrowed her eyes and looked at you. “Why invest and not have me owe ye?”

“Because I know it is best to have no debts between us and you. If I sold them to you, then I would owe you more for the results. Also, the only things you have to buy them with are the results and these lootbags. No, I prefer no debts owed.”

She nodded. “Wise lad.”

She accepted the three rubies from you and vanished into her basement before quickly returning. “I will need time to repair my altar. I need ye to keep me safe while I do that.”
