What happens next?
The night from RWBY's perspective
Ruby, Yang and Blake were preparing for bed in their dorms. Weiss was still at the desk where she had remained for hours, scanning over books and writing notes.
"Are you going to keep that lamp on all night, Weiss, 'cause some of us are gonna try to sleep?" asked Yang.
"Well I think it's worth we try to catch up on work, since we basically missed a whole day of study," said Weiss.
"Oh come on, Weiss. We just saved the day from another Torchwick robbery. I think the school can forgive one day off from study," said Ruby.
"He still got away, Ruby," said Blake, with a pained look.
"Well I'm glad he got away," said Yang, absentmindedly as she lay on the bed with her eyes shut, before they burst open, realizing what she just said.
She was quick to counter herself, "We just make life so difficult for him, I think it's good that he can still get away to make new better schemes," only to clasp her hand over her mouth as her face beamed red.
The room was silent for a moment.
"That's just because we're too incompetent to catch him," Ruby suddenly responded, "We just buzz around his head like annoying little mosquitos."
"At least he can slap a mosquito," Yang joked half-heartedly, but her mind was still reeling from earlier, so it came off as more awkward than her typical joke.
"I think I deserve a good slap," Ruby said, only to also go red and look around befuddled.
Weiss and Blake were just sitting there, watching the two sisters have this conversation, too stunned to comment. Until...
