What Does She Want?

Blood Results

I enter the Alchemy Workshop and see Ramia looking over some papers.

"E-Eric, thanks for coming." She says turning around to face me.

"No problem, so what did you want to talk about?" I ask her and she holds up a piece of paper. I can see a drawing of a vial filled with a red liquid. There are words below and next to the sketch but I can't read them from here.

"I wanted t-to talk about the Devil Blood. S-sorry for taking so long, I g-got distracted with the honey." She answers while holding the paper up for me. I quickly read over it and am surprised by it. The gist of it is that the Devil's Blood is powerful. It has the ability to dramatically increase any potions effects by up to 500%. Its downside is that it's incredibly poisonous to ingest. This causes it to turn any potion you'd drink or touch into one that'll harm you, or even kill.

"If you can't drink or touch the liquid, what can you use it for?" I ask her after I finish reading.

"For damaging potions. These are potions that you'd throw. For example, I've made one before that creates a smoke screen. I know of another that creates a sticky goop as soon as the bottle breaks. It can only be used for those. But we don't have any ingredients that'll work. I have some but none of them are of high enough quality. And if all of a potion's ingredients aren't of similar qualities then it'll ruin it. The best case would be a weakened version of what you wanted to make. But most likely it'll become a useless pile of dust or goop. Or explode" Ramia says and I smile. I like when she gets like this. She seems so happy when she's talking about Alchemy and she even stops stuttering. I think to myself before getting an idea, one I may regret.

"Ramia, can you use Scales as an Ingredient?" I ask her and she turns to me a little confused.

"Certain ones, why? Did you find any?" She asks and I nod. I take out one Forest Lizardman Scale and one Forest Dragon Scale.

"Yes, Innu and Luna helped me clear a Forest Lizardman Dungeon. The boss was a Forest Dragon, and we got some scales of each." I answer and she goes wide-eyed.

"Real Dragon Scales!?" She asks in disbelief and I hand it to her.

"I take it you can use them then?" I say and she nods repeatedly.

"Yes! Not only are the Scales powerful enough to be used as an enhancement. They also contain their Nature. So these Scales would be able to create powerful healing potions. But it has the same problem as the Demon Blood. Nothing else I have on hand is the right quality."

"What kind of ingredients would you need for them?" I ask and she smiles.

"They would have to come from a monster that has a similar mana pool. That way the ingredients would have enough mana to mix together properly. If they didn't then the level of the other drops as well. That's how potions fail. But I only know of three monsters that'll work. The other three King of Monsters. That being the Cerberuses, Krakens, and Giants. These four are the strongest of monsters, that's why we call them the Kings of Monsters. But there are other ingredients. They're made with Alchemy instead of taken from monsters. I'm able to combine ingredients. It's almost like your Craft skill, I take two lesser ingredients and combine them into a better one. It'll take a lot of them, but I could keep doing that to work with these two. But I don't think it's worth it. The honey and the Trolls Heart create powerful enough healing potions. And you also don't seem to need the extra damage. The cost wouldn't justify the results." She says sadly. I smile and pet her.

"Here." I say taking out nine more of my Dragon Scales and handing them to her. "How about you keep these. Then if you ever get those other ingredients, you'll be able to use them." She looks at them before slowly taking them. She sets them down on the counter behind her. She then quickly turns around and faces me. She has a happy expression on her face and is blushing slightly. She pauses for a moment before stepping forward and grabbing my shirt. She pulls me down while she stands up on her toes. She kisses me before letting go of my shirt and wrapping her arms around my neck. I wrap mine around her waist and pull her in. She pulls away from the kiss and looks up at me as I straighten out. Her soft body is pressed right against mine.

"E-Eric, I love you!" She whispers happily. She's smiling and her cheeks are flushed red.

"I love you too Ramia." I reply before kissing her again. She pulls me closer and returns the kiss.

"W-will the other g-girls mind?" Ramia asks me after pulling away.

"Probably not, but they will have questions." I say and she smiles and groans.

"I forgot a-about that. I r-remember hearing them asking Liz." She replies and I chuckle softly. We stay in our hug for a while just talking. I notice towards the end of our talk, that she stopped stuttering. Our talk ends when someone knocks on the door.

"Eric, are you still here?" I hear Gaia's muffled voice ask.

"Yeah, do you need something?" I reply and Ramia lets go of me. She opens the door as Gaia answers.

"Yeah, are you... Thank you Ramia, are you free Eric?" She asks, pausing to thank Ramia for opening the door.

"Y-yes, sorry for keeping h-him." Ramia answers for me.

"No, I'm sorry for taking him. I just wasn't sure if he was still here." Gaia answers and I smile.

"So what did you need?" I ask her and she smiles back.

"I'd like to talk with you. Um, privately if possible." She answers and I nod.

"Thanks for this Ramia, let me know if you need any help with your Alchemy." I say to Ramia who smiles and nods. I leave the Alchemy Workshop and Ramia shuts the door behind me. I notice she's blushing intensely, and that she wasn't that red before.

"Follow me Gaia, we can talk in my Crafting Workshop. I haven't seen any of the girls entering or leaving it." I say and lead her down the walkway.

Why Does Gaia Want To Talk?
