Chapter 7 by Mrwhysper Mrwhysper

Target acquired

The granddaughter of Bob’s Favorite Resident: Morgan Schultz

Clocked out. Time to hit the bar.

Morgan sat on the bench outside her office waiting for the Uber to pull up. She was supposed to visit Grandma today, but the doctor had given her and her cousins some horrible news this morning. Grandma was at the bad end of early stage Alzheimer’s. She’d have to be moved to a memory care unit before too long, and Morgan just couldn’t look at her today or she’d break down.

Tomorrow. I’ll visit tomorrow.

So a stiff drink was in order, and since she’d been single for two months, all of her friends had moved out of town, and none of her coworkers had any interest in drinking on a Monday night, she was aiming to do it alone.

She wasn’t even bothering to change. Office clothes would do just fine. She wasn’t going out for fun; this was therapeutic. Cheaper than a visit to her shrink anyway. Grandma’s bills were going to almost double so every extra penny counted.

As she climbed into the Uber, a late model Toyota, she exchanged pleasantries with the driver. He was a stocky guy wearing a fedora and he definitely had a neck beard. As he started driving, Morgan tuned him and everything else out and tried to get herself in the right headspace. Then she felt the prick at the back of her knee and felt nothing more.

Curvy. Nice tits. And again the short hair. The guy definitely has a type.

Heidi prepared the last chair in the conference room.

Time for the wild card.

Wild Card?
