Tess laughs. "Try to be more like me, Fay, and you'll look more natural," she says."

"You try having your eyes not match, Tess," you gripe back at her.

Tess blows you a kiss. "Serves you right for leaning so close."

"I thought that was exactly what you would do," you tell her.

"Well, yes, I would have looked," Tess says. "But I was, ehm, busy."

"Hahaha, you were!" you tell Tess. "Not fighting your thought-forms, but fucking them. But we should sleep it off, I think. Better in the morning light."

Morgan turns your chin toward her with the tip of her forefinger. "Sit. Let's fix this."

"Morgan, please, I'm just tired," you complain.

Morgan looks at you intently. "Tired, yes. But not properly yourself," she says. You can tell she's called the Sight. "Do you remember which course I had highest marks, first year?"

"I know, I know," you complain.

"Transformations," Morgan says. "Sit easy, Fay. It's hard enough you just being you, without being partly Tess. Your pardon, Tess, but you're much better being you than Fay is."

"I..." you start.

"Resemble that remark, yes," Morgan says shortly. "Sit easy." She brushes back your hair with one hand and contemplates you with the Sight. "Anyroads, this shouldn't be hard."

You bristle inwardly at Morgan leaning in to fix you like this. She means the best, but she's aiming to banish a piece of Tess you were thinking of holding on to.
