Her Dad

There it was, just another name in her contact list, but it fills you with hope and excitement. All it read was:

You click on it and call his number. It rings for a while.

"Hey hun, everything alright?" You dad's voice comes through the phone, sounding tinny. He's alive! He's actually alive! You'd missed your dad so much, and to hear his voice again was so great. You start to tear up out of joy.

"Y-yeah, I-I'm alright." You respond, "I just wanted to hear your voice."

You hear him chuckle a little, making you smile. His chuckles always made you happy.

"Well, you're the one who wanted to move into your granddad's penthouse. I know it's quite far away from your mum and I. But, if you ever want to come by for dinner, or lunch, you know you're always welcome. So long as you call first." He states. You nod in reply, before realising you're on the phone.

"Yeah, of course. Maybe, tomorrow night? If that works for you."

"Yes, that's fine. We'll see you for dinner tomorrow then. Anything else you wanted to talk about?"

"N-no, I think I can wait till tomorrow."

"Okay, see you then."

"Bye. I love you."

"Love you too. Bye." He said before he hung up. You hang up shortly after and wipe the tears in your eyes. You couldn't be happier, everything was going so well. Your mind drifts back to the Master PC. Although...things could go better, couldn't they?
