Try and work the new girl.

When you get out of your car, you spot a familiar face heading towards work.

"Olive, wait up!" You say, jogging after her. Once she stops for you, you give her a smile. "How's my new favorite coworker doing?'

"Oh, um, I feel way more confident about this job, thanks to you, Max!" As the two of you enter the building, she struggles to get a question out. "This might be embarrassing, but do you want to go out for lunch today?" You don't answer at first, surprised at how fast this was going. "Not trying to make anything weird, I just-"

You look into her eyes. "It's a date. See you around noon?"

Before Olive can answer, the two of you run into another one of your coworkers. This one you're not as familiar with, but you vaguely remember she was here when you first started working at your company. "Dow, stop scaring the new girl!"

You thought navigating work was going to be easy now that you had the app, but you can only focus on so many people at a time. "Sorry..." You can't think of her name at the moment, so you decide to wing it. "Miss, but me and Olive are acquainted. We're both working on the project for Richler-"

"Yeah, I've heard. How'd that happen? I get giving it to the new girl, and kissups like Cio and Friday, but you? What, did she pick the names out of a hat?"

"Probably, no way she puts me and Scarlett in a group together otherwise." You say with a chuckle. "Guess I just had luck of the draw. Sorry if you wanted the job."

"Pfft, no. I just thought you doing anything at all was weird."

"Wait, is this why when you gave me that office tour and talked about coworkers, you didn't bring up Max?" Olive helpfully adds.

"Wait, you two have met before?" While it isn't that unbelievable, you realize that you should tread more carefully at work if you do at home. If your new behavior gets you sent to HR, you're not sure the app can save you in time.

"Yeah. Ms. Blaese was the first person I talked to here! She's lovely."

You ponder over Olive's words. Blaese? That name sounds familiar, until you come to the realization.

"Oh, wait! Petra was the one to give me the tour when I got hired here too! Sorry we didn't talk more."

Petra shrugs as she walks up to Olive. "That was partially my fault, and that's why I'm trying not to make that mistake with you, Stone. Follow me?" The two of them leave, and as you walk back to your desk, you check the app.
