Time To Fight!

The ball of liquid gold flies at Kallen at a shocking speed. It moves much faster than I thought and, judging by his movements, much faster than Kallen thought. He raises his shield to block it and, right before impact, the gold stops and surrounds him, almost like a cocoon. I see him try to get out but he gets incased in liquid gold. It all happened in a moment, and now, Kallen is cocooned in liquid gold. I see the gold harden and I run out from behind the wheelbarrow. I draw my sword and see the amused grin on the Golden Devils face turn to shock. I stop a few feet behind Kagiyama and Sugano, who are both readying themselves to attack the Golden Devil. I cast Annihilation Thrust and destroy the mana supporting the golden cocoon. The gold loses its shape and starts to fall like water before vanishing into thin air.

"I take one nap and all hell breaks loose." I say jokingly and hear the Golden Devil laugh. Kallen and the others turn to me but before they can ask anything I continue. "Leave the Golden Devil to me. I have a plan. You three take out the Litch King. I doubt your people can hold out much longer."

"Be careful!" Sugano warns after a moment of silence.

"You really think you can handle me?" The Golden Devil asks and I shrug.

"Only one way to find out." I answer and he laughs again.

"Who is that? And why do you know him?" The Litch King asks suspiciously. I see Kallen move to his left a little to block their line of sight on Sugano, whose healing Kagiyama.

"That's the kid we told you about. So kill the others if you want. But remember, you kill him and we'll tear you to shreds." The Golden Devil warns and I see the Litch King nod and step back a bit. "So Eric, how about a deal? You come with us and we'll all leave. Including this idiot here." He continues while pointing to the Litch King.

"No thanks. Luna and Innu looked exited to fight Temptation. And who am I to ruin their fun?" I ask sarcastically and the Golden Devil laughs.

"Good, because I'm looking forward to this." He says before reaching out. I see three spears of gold appear before they fly at me. I Multicast Dark Spear and send them at his. They connect and destroy each other. I Blink twice while the spears crashing distracts him. I go above him and let myself fall. I don't use any more magic, not wanting his horns to sense me. Right before I land on him he jumps backwards as a large amount of gold tries to swallow me. It comes out of the ground and quickly wraps around me. I smile and Swap myself with him after placing three Explosion marks on the ground or gold. I immediately activate them and turn around to see him.

The gold starts to disappear and I see the Litch King is roughly behind it. I cast Ancient Beast Slash and the Golden Devil laughs before taking to the sky and dodging it.

The Golden Devil turns around after hearing a shout of pain. He see the Litch King whose missing his left arm and has three cuts into his side. He turn to me angry and, I think, a little impressed.

"I'll admit, I didn't think you'd try attacking him. But what's your plan now?" He asks before landing and tucking his wings away.

"A little of this, some of that. Y'know, the usual stuff." I say with a shrug.

"That's what I like about your Eric. Even when you're up against a Devil, you still keep your composure. But, I do have to admit, I'm curious what you'll be like when fear consumes you."

"That's a good question. Let's see if you can find out." I say before running at him. I see him smile and raise his claws. I cast Dark Chain to connect my Katana to my claws. I swing my blade down and, as I hoped, he used his left arm to block it. I don't deal any damage, since he used gold to act as armor. I let go of my Katana and grab his right wrist. He tried to go for my throat and, I assume, **** me ****. I see his shocked expression again before I use my, now free, right hand to cast Ancient Beast Slash. His shocked face turns to panic as he tries and fails to escape my hold. My slash connects, losing one of the five from breaking through a thin wall of liquid gold.

I let go and jump back before he gains his bearings. I quickly do the math and figure out his remaining HP. 2543, FUCK! I was hoping to have him to 3500 HP at the very least, but this low! Then it's time to start the next phase of my plan. There's no going back after this. Ha! Going back, like I ever could. It's time to steel myself. After this, I'll most likely have to kill the Demon God to live peacefully. But oh well, I doubt I could've avoided it in the first place. I think before charging the Golden Devil. The Devil sends a slash of gold at me and I Blink twice, to get behind him. I swing my blade down on him and he blocks it. He jumps forward, and I quickly follow. I keep attacking and dodging, trying not to use magic. I need to preserve my mana for my plan to work.
