Awakened

I wake up, floating in a familiar bright light. I look around but don't see anything, or anyone. The last thing I remember was starting my Awakening process. But it specifically said that I wouldn't dream. So am I done? I think before looking up to my mailbox icon and seeing I have several new notifications. I smile and open them up.

Your dormant abilities have now been unlocked. You have Evolved from Human/Devil to Mythos/Devil.

New Skill: Mythos Blood Lvl 1 (MAX), Passive

The blood coursing through your veins has changed. It is now the blood of Mythos, a powerful and ancient race. They are said to be the first Lyna and the only ones with the ability to use all Schools of magic. This gives you +150 Max MP.

New Skill: Mythos Mind Lvl 1 (MAX), Passive

Your Mind has now changed. It is now the Mind of a Mythos. This allows you to cast spells more effectively and stronger than before. Gives you a permanent +25 INT and +15 WIS.

New Skill: Mythos Body Lvl 1 (MAX), Passive

Your body has now changed. It is now the body of a Mythos. This body is capable of turning using natural mana to strengthen itself. Gives a permanent +25 STR and +15 END.

New Milestone: Strength 9

You've gotten your Strength to 225! Rewards: One random Mythical Melee weapon!

New Milestone: Endurance 4

You've gotten your Endurance to 100! Rewards: You now have the ability to use your mana to strengthen your bodies defense.

New Milestone: Intelligence 10

You've gotten your Intelligence to 250! Rewards: Your spells now have gain a +20 base damage instead of the previous +10.

New Milestone: Wisdom 7

You've gotten your Wisdom to 175! Rewards: Your Daily Quests can now be 'Refreshed' one time every three days!

Fuck yeah! I think smiling. I try to open my inventory but it doesn't work. I sigh and start thinking of waking up. Moments later I start hearing the sounds of people talking. I open my eyes and look around. I see a group of people I've never seen before all running around or sitting at folding tables. On the tables are papers and maps and they all have a hand on one of their ears. I start to sit up when I see Claire and Asami walk in the tent.

"Eric!" Asami says happy and relieved. She helps me up then hugs me.

"What's going on? Where are we?" I ask, letting myself relax.

"We're attacking the Katorg guild and..." Claire starts to explain before Asami interrupts her.

"Let me show you." She says before pulling my arm down and pressing her forehead against mine. I see her memories of everything from when Myla and Hino appeared to before she walked into the tent.

"Asami, bring out your Minotaur." I say and she smiles before doing so. I take out my Cerberus Hammer while swapping to my armor. "Go help Innu and Luna. The three of you train together so you'll know each others weaknesses. I'll go help out Kallen and the others. I'm sure a Devil has appeared there too." I say quickly while handing the hammer to the Minotaur. It takes it and Asami hugs me again.

"Be careful okay! And no summoning Bergeth again." She warns and reminds me of something.

"Asami, look at my memories real quick. Share the one of Ancient Beast Roar with Luna." I say and she does so.

"Be careful out there. Zack will kill me if you die." Claire says smiling.

"We will!" I say before leaving the tent. Fortunately, when Asami shared her memories, she showed me the map with the route Kallen and the others took. I won't be invisible but it's the shortest path to them. I see Asami and her Minotaur running to Innu and Luna. The two are barley avoiding a inky dark red liquid. It's chasing them down and I see it transform into spears and ropes. I see Asamis Minotaur jump and swing at the Devil of Temptation. He notices too late and gets knocked away. The red liquid vanishes into thin air and I turn around. I start running down the canyon, following the route Kallen and the others took. I run for a minute and I don't see anyone, not even any bodies. I expected to see them and them not being here worries me. Did the Litch King turn them? This is going to be bad then. I think while running. I quickly reach the end and fly over a wall of rock before seeing the opening that the battle is taking place in. I see a small army of undead, at least 600, attacking a group of about 50 people. Despite them being outnumbered, the undead are clearly losing the battle. I turn and look to where Kallen and the others are. I see the Litch King is holding a staff of bones, holding a dark purple crystal in a skeletal hand. Next to him is Kallen and Kagiyama who are attacking him. I see them both jump back as a slash of liquid gold cuts through the air. They back up and stop next to Sugano. I see the Golden Devil land next to the Litch King. I quickly use Stealth and land behind a knocked over wheelbarrow.

"Would you like to kneel yet?" I hear the Litch King say and Kallen laughs.

"You must've forgotten, we're way too stubborn to give up." He says. I quickly Observe the Golden Devil and Litch King.

"You came because of our deal. Now shut up and let's kill this fools." The Litch King says and the Golden Devil sighs again.

"You're lucky you're still useful." He says before reaching his hand out. A giant ball of liquid gold, a few feet taller than me, appears from the air and heads straight to Kallen and the others.
