Meanwhile Back At The Joint Guild Hall

Kagiyama opens the door to the meeting room. He finds Kallen, Sugano and Liz are already sitting and waiting for him.

"Did I keep you waiting?" He asks sitting down next to his wife.

"Not really, I just got here a few minutes ago." Kallen answers and Liz laughs.

"You still have that habit of arriving early. I thought I'd be first but there you were, just waiting." Liz says causing Sugano to chuckle.

"So why did you call us here?" Sugano asks Kallen. Yesterday shortly after the reports about the Starry Night guilds attacks were reported, Kallen sent the three others a message to meet him here.

"Nothing to big, I just wanted to hear your thoughts about the attacks. We know the Golden Devils is involved with the Katorg as well as a suspicion that a Litch King is so I wanted to hear if you though the attacks are related somehow as well." He answers placing the same report papers on the table that Eric was shown earlier today.

"The timing would fit that. The Devils attack the of the strongest guilds after Eric injured the Golden one. It could be that they're planning some attack and need them out of the way." Sugano says picking up and rereading some reports.

"Eric actually had an interesting idea on this subject." Kagiyama starts, and Kallen looks at him a bit shocked. "He thought that the Starry Night might've fought the Devils before and this could be retaliation. After all, the Starry Night is a very good natured guild. I wouldn't be surprised if they hunted them down. They are one of the few who are trusted with the knowledge of Gods and their creations after all. So, while unlikely, it could have nothing to do with the Katorg case, Golden Devil or Litch King. And again this is unlikely, but he also though the Devils could be looking for something the Starry Night has."

"What would they want that would cause them to fight them?" Liz asks confused.

"No idea, but Eric also had another idea. He said that the Devils could be after Larion himself and not the guild. If so then I'd say Larion knew the Devils would come for him and had the bases evacuated. It would also explain why the Devils have been attacking at random. He could've easily set up false leads on where he'd go, sending them on a wild goose chase." Kagiyama says.

"How long did it take him to come up with all these ideas? And did he go into detail about them or are these the reasons why you think he said them?" Sugano asks her husband.

"A couple seconds, maybe a minute tops. And he just said these while thinking aloud. In fact he was in such deep though that when I put my hand on his shoulder to snap him out of it he froze it on instinct." He answers while chuckling, remembering it.

"He froze you?" Liz asks in disbelief, knowing that only a powerful Ice spell could freeze a master of water like Kagiyama.

"Yep, but it didn't have much power behind it. And before you ask no, he didn't tell me what spell it was." He answers.

"So a weak Ice spell that has high freezing capabilities." Liz says thinking about it.

"Eric might actually be onto something." Sugano says setting down the papers

"What do you mean?" Kallen asks her.

"Larion is a close combat fighter, so it makes sense he isn't using any long range magic and therefore not in the reports. But, he's never once been mentioned in these. He didn't even make these. His second in command, Conner, wrote them."

"So Larion's missing?"

"No, if he was then they'd have reported it. He most likely is hiding somewhere else. Which is why I think Eric was right. If they are after something the guild has he could be hiding with it. Or if they're after Larion he could've gone into hiding. But whatever the reason, Larion is gone." Sugano says while Liz is still lost in thought.

"So if he's not fighting, where is he? And what is he doing?" Kagiyama asks to no one, just thinking aloud. Kallen sighs and looks up.

"That is the question isn't it. I can't believe I didn't notice that before." He says before chuckling softly.

"It's like she said, we assumed he wasn't in the fight, considering it's all been long range magic." Kallen nods and Liz suddenly snaps her fingers and sits up.

"I've figured it out. Kagiyama, Eric froze your hand after you touched him right? And did the air get cold too?" She asks turning to him. Kagiyama nods both times and she squeals in excitement. "Yes! I knew it!"

"What is it?" Kallen asks her, snapping her out of it.

"Oh, sorry. I think it was Draconic Ice." She says smiling smugly.

"Draconic? Are you sure?" Sugano asks her.

"I think, I'll need to see it to be sure but unless Eric mastered another powerful Ice spell then yes."

"As if he wasn't powerful enough." Kallen says with a faint smile.

"There is one more thing." Kagiyama says slightly concerned now. "He fixed the Kragon Gauntlets and Boots with roughly 400 grand."

"Where are they?" Sugano asks him.

"Hino's wearing them. She wanted to take them with her to the Dungeon. Besides, even if I brought them with me no one else could wear them." He answers and she nods.

"Are you sure? He really fixed them with just a third of the estimated cost of materials?" Kallen asks him and he nods.

"Yes, I've seen them before and they looked as good as the day my mother first showed them to me."

"Oh god. Is there anything he isn't capable of." Kallen says exasperated and Liz starts laughing hard. Suddenly the doors slam open and Scott runs in.

"The Alarm Crystals are going off. All three." He says panting, having ran straight here. Liz, Kallen, Sagano and Kagiyama all stand and run out. Scott leans against the door and takes a deep breath wishing them luck.
