A bog standard magic wand
In an unassuming 'magic' store, the entirely mundane sort, filled with cards, trick coins, and various other implements to bedazzle and astound came a rather unexpected arrival.
A wand, black with white tips, for all the world just another fake wand, filled with handkerchiefs, secret compartments and plastic.
But this one was special, this one was the real deal, able to draw on the untapped potential of the mortals on this plane, little as it may be. To cast magic, unburdened by bothersome laws of science or sense.
Potential near limitless.
But for now it sat docile, among its mundane fellows, awaiting its new magician in this world untouched by any magic.
Who will find this magic wand?
