Chapter 163
by zewesman
“Alright ladies, let’s buy John the time he needs!” ordered Fran as she started her charge into the enemy lines.
Random Isekai!
“Ok, let’s keep moving,” John whispered to the group as they stealthily moved through the long corridors of the building the group had sneaked into. The stealth abilities provided by John and Shelly allow the members of the group with no stealth to move about unfettered by enemy patrols.
“Patrol incoming, against the wall,” Shelly whispered to John and his companions as they quickly hugged the wall while three men dressed in strangely familiar military clothing. They wanted for the men to turn a corner before they left the wall and once again continued down the hall.
“I swear I’ve seen that uniform before...I just don’t remember where...” John said to the girls as they turned a corner and saw a group of soldiers that blocked off the hallway.
“Ze intruders are tearink srough our men!” the one closest to John’s group told the others.
“Vat are zey dealink vis?” asked another.
“It’s a veird fuckink group of vomen,” said a grizzled looking soldier. “Zey got a black necromancer vis povers vay different san anyzing I’ve ever seen. A paladin who I svear I’ve seen in vorkink for zee Golden Rose before. And, get zis, a demon that summons other demons and some sort of buffed up harpy. Fuckink crazy vomen,” finished the man with his rough breakdown of John’s companions who made up the Distraction Group.
“Vonder vat zey vant?” asked another one.
“Maybe zey vant ****?” suggested another.
“Doesn’t matter. Vee vill crush zem. Shtay alert in case zey come dovn here!” another one barked at the group.
“OK, looks like we can’t go that way. Let’s try the other side of the corridor,” John told his group as they turned around and headed down the other part of the corridor.
“Let’s hope we find another corridor to wrap back around that way because my sister is on that side of the building,” Shelly told the group. The group continued on, carefully as they dodged groups of guards throughout the compound. Suddenly, the quiet stealth is broken when alarms start blaring and a foreign language message blasts over the PA system.
"Eindringlingsalarm! Getarnte Ziele in der Basis!" ” said the voice over the PA system.
“Wait a minute...” John said to himself as he thought for a second. “The uniforms, the accents, and now that language...it all sounds so familiar,” he told himself until a switch flicked in his head and one could almost see the lightbulb light up above his head. “THESE GUYS ARE NAZIS!” John exclaimed in happiness of finally figuring out what this group was. The rest of his group, however, were very shocked and dumbfounded that their leader just yelled out loud in the middle of a stealth mission. The nearby Nazi soldiers looked in their general direction as John realized his mistake of being loud in the midst of stealth.
“Vat vas vat?” asked one of the soldiers.
“It musht be zem!” announced another.
Warning: Your loud mouth has alerted the enemy to your presence. Fucking dumbass!
A warning appeared in John’s vision, the text clearly written by Gaia to mock his slight mistake. With the quick realization that they could no longer stealth their way through this mission, John opted for Plan B.
“RUN AWAY!” John said as he broke the stealth around him and Sam and took off down the free passage. The other three girls quickly followed him as they raced to stay ahead of the now very alert of their presence and very angry Germans that pursued them. The group had to switch between a combo of moves that included the dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge to outrun their pursuers.
“We can’t keep running around like this!” Sam told John as the group turned another corner only to see more troops in their way.
“Other way, other way!” John said as he stopped the girls and pushed them towards the other side as the new group began their own chase.
“She’s right, John, we have to either fight or find a place to hide,” Shelly told John, her words echoing the message of Sam’s previous words.
“I know, I know!” conceded John as he continued along the path. “But first, we need to get a little space between us and them. Gali, throw up a barrier to give us some space!” John ordered his High Priestess to perform a move.
“As you wish, my king,” Gali said as she stopped, turned, and spoke her sacred words to erect a banner along the hallway, which effectively blocked the advancement from the enemy troops.
“Good job, now we enter one of these random rooms and hope its a good place to hide in,” John said confidently. Shelly, however, was not impressed.
“Seriously? That’s your plan?” Shelly asked as she internally questioned her plan to have John help her find her missing sister.
“Yep. It’ll work out,” John told her with a smile and a thumbs up.
“How can you even think that?” she asked, completely dumbfounded.
“Because it always has before!” he told her as he stopped at a door next to him and looked at it.
“What is it, sir?” Sam asked her commander in chief.
“I dunno, there’s something about this door. I think this is the one we should go in...” John said as he outstretched his hand to grab the knob of the door. “Are you all ready?” John asked the group. Sam and Gali both gave him a nod.
“Do we have a choice?” Shelly asked sarcastically.
“Nope!” John said as he opened the door.
A bright light shot out of the room and enveloped the entire group and seemed to drag them into the room.
“Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell?!” a stunned Shelly yelled as she spun through the white portal while giant letters floated around them.
“Liiiiiiiiiiiike, Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii toooooooooooooooooooootssssssssssssssssss dooooooooooooooooooooooon’ttttttttttttttt knoooooooooooooooooooooooooow!” was all Sam could say to reply to Shelly’s outburst question. “Buuuuuuuuuut iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis thaaaaaaaaaaaaat laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin thooooooooooooooooose leeeeeeeeeeeeeetterrrrrrrrrrrrrrs?” asked Sam as she saw landscapes in the letters that flew by her and the others as they continued to fall.
“Doooooooooooooooo youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?” asked Gali as she swore she heard a noise while she spun around just like the others.
“Noooooooooooooooooooooooo fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!” shouted John as his mind flashed back to his Saturday morning routine of getting a bowl of cereal from his mom and then sitting down in front of the T.V. and watching one of his favorite cartoons. As John put the pieces together, the gang exited the portal and landed in the middle of a field that appeared to be plains.
“Ugh, my butt totally hurts,” Sam said as she rubbed her pert ass as she sat on the ground. “Like I hope this place isn’t that bad,” she said as she pouted over her butt.
“Can we not ever do that again, please?” an annoyed Shelly said as she laid on the ground and looked into the sky. “Also...is that another world in the fucking sky?!” she said in an alarmed tone as she pointed to the sky. The rest of the group looked up to the sky to confirm that there was, in fact, another world in the sky.
“By the Goddess...” was all Gali could say as she saw that. John, on the other hand, had a smile on his face.
“I don’t believe it, we’re actually here!” John said with excitement as he threw his arms up in the air in happiness.
“We are were, exactly?” asked Shelly, slightly concerned with how happy John was with their situation. “Cause you’re acting like you know where we got fucking isekaied!” Shelly said in a stern voice.
“Well, Shelly, you see, we are in the-” before John could finish his sentence the group was interrupted by a group of shady characters.
“Well well, what do we have here?” asked the small, green creature.
“Just like the empress said they’d be,” a second one informed the other two. it had a wooden club with screws screwed into it that rested on its shoulder.
“So I guess we take them back to her castle?” asked a third one as leaned on its club. It had a brown tunic and belt that was a carbon copy of the clothes its two companions wore.
“Like, guess we gotta fight,” Sam said as she got up and attempted to summon her weapon from its hidden spot. Her face grew worried however as nothing appeared in her hands. “Uh..I have a problem. Like my weapon tots isn’t appearing!” Sam informed the group.
“She’s right, something’s wrong. My powers aren’t working either. I can’t go stealth!” Shelly informed the others.
“My power to the light seems to have been severed,” Gali said as she confirmed the problem affected her as well. John decided to bring up his stat sheet and saw a very disturbing message.
Warning! Strong barrier magic in use. All magic not designated as allowed has been disabled. Either gain allowed magical powers or defeat the owner of the barrier to regain use of powers! John stared in disbelief as he reread the message over and over again as he tried to think of possible solutions to their predicament.
“Uh. We have a slight problem. This barrier is disabling all non-approved magic. So we are all basically powerless and I have no clue what the allowed magic is. So I suggest we run!” John told the girls as he prepared to turn and bolt. Before any of them could begin their escape, they were cut off when the three goblinlike creatures all yelled out in unison “Goburi Bomb” which allowed them to shoot out a large fireball from the tips of their club. The fireballs were shot so they flew near the group but not into them, clearly a warning shot from their new enemies.
“Now where do y'all think you are going?” asked the largest of the three creatures, most likely the leader.
“You got a date with the empress,” said a second one.
“Yeah, she’ll decide your fate!” said the third one.
“Well, this isn’t good at all. Not sure how we get out of this one...” John said as one of his greatest child fantasies and nightmares were happening at the same time.
“Jūouken!” A leon shaped ball of energy came from out of nowhere and blasted into the creature that was by itself. The two creatures on the opposite side gasped in horror as their colleague seemed to disintegrate before the group and then burst into bits of data.
*Translation: Intruder alert! Hidden enemies in the base!
“Oh no, it's the rebels! We gotta get out of here!” yelled the leader as he turned tail and ran away while his lackey quickly followed suit.
